Protein Supplements- Question

i am desperately trying to put on weight but I just can't. I tried rice protein last year and it didnt sit well with me. I am thinking of trying pea or hemp protein but I wanted to see if anyone had adverse reactions to such supplements. seems like whenever i put concentrated supplements of any kind into my body they constipate me or cause some kind of adverse reaction; my system is super sensitive and it makes it very difficult to take supplements that can benefit me. Also when I make smoothies with fruit (berries, etc) , rice/almond milk it causes indigestion. any suggestions?
