Gluten Dairy, Fructose Or All Three?

The foods I ate today before onset of problems:

Coffee flavored with Divinci Sugar Free -->gluten-free

Barbara's Honey Rice Puffins ---> gluten-free

Milk -->gluten-free

Sunmaid Rasins, ALOT. -->gluten-free

Run that list and you see bad things for Dairy, namely the milk, and bad things for fructose.. Honey, rasins, and Splenda (since its modified sugar, it effects ppl with fructose problems)Fructose is basicly the natural sugar in fruits and vegitables. And basicly all real sugar falls in this catagory.

In the past before I knew anything about celiac disease I would have :

Berry Burst Cherrios (bad for celiac disease and Fructose)

Coffee with Divince (bad for fructose)

Milk (bad for dairy)

Before the onset of symptons. 2 biospys by 2 dif doctors using 2 different labs showed no damge to my intestins, but I am anemic. If its was celiac disease, and the celiac disease was causing Anemia then there SHOULD be detectable damage. It is hard to imagine there could be enough damage to cause iron deficient anemia , and have both docts and both labs miss it. Theres no way to know for sure unless I pay for the blood tests that my ins wont over.

Looking around the net I see Iron Deficent Anemia listed as a result of Dietery fructose intolorence, and not as a result of dairy intelorence. Plus when I eat oranges my lips get tingly and numb. And under fructose intolernce they list cravings for frutose, which translates to cravings for fruit in my case, and I do. I can eat an entire 24oz can of rasins in one sitting and still want more. Same with oranges, and fruit juices.

Based on all that I am suspecting fructose intolerence... does that sound reasonable?

I dunno if in addtion to or instead of celiac disease though.

I can't do Splenda. My GI actually told me that it irritates anyone with IBS-like syptoms, and when I have anything with Splenda in it I get horrible tummy cramps and sweats. Splenda kind of freaks me out anyway. Anything where Chlorine is used in manufacturing it is just weird, I don't care if they say its safe.

Milk or new cheese also sets me off ( Casien - not lactose). With that I get gurgly-nausea tummy.

I'm a big fan of diet challenges for that kind of stuff, that's how I found out I couldn't do eggs either. My experience with doctors as far as my food intolerances has been less than spectacular.

I hope you figure out what's buggin you.

I can't tolerate a lot of fructose. Apples and bannanas come out just as fast as they go in. Tree fruits are real high in fructose and are off limits for me. Peaches don't seem to cause much problem if I only eat one a day. Berries and melons in moderation are fine. Grapes and raisins seem okay also. Splenda doesn't bother me but aspertame sometimes does. I get the same tingly sensation with citrus fruits and they are just as bad as apples and bannanas also. Fructose intolerance is a possibility.

From what I understand, many people with problems with fructose find that they only need *reduce* the amount of fructose they take in.

From what you posted, though, I would start by eliminating dairy first.

I can eat fructose but only in limited amounts. Some fruits I have to avoid altogether. From what I know of fructose intolerance it is not as damaging as gluten intolerance. You can still eat fructose but don't go overboard.

      I'm not saying this is what you have, but your description reminds me of Morgellons, which are not very well understood. Here is a review from a reputable source. If it seems similar to your experience, you could raise this question with your Dr.  https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/diseases/morgellons-disease

      Hi Trent, no dairy. Other than good quality butter. I have been lactose free for years. No corn, sugar, even seasonings and spices. I don't eat out. I cook my own food.

      @nancydrewandtheceliacclue, are you consuming dairy? Not sure if dairy is part of the carnivore diet.

      Hello Russ! Thank you so much for your reply.  I have not had an antibody test done, ever, relating to gluten. Last year I had an allergy test done via blood draw (as my insurance wouldn't cover the skin test) but this was for pollen and grasses, not food. Even on the blood test I had extremely high levels of reactions to each allergen. Could this seasonal allergy inflammation be contributing to my celiac inflammation? I am so careful, there is no way I could ingest gluten. For example, couple of months ago I tried a cough drop that says it was gluten free. I checked ingredients, it seemed fine. But just taking one of those caused me to have nausea, vomiting, and the same extreme abdominal pain. Have you ever heard of anyone else having symptoms like mine after being diagnosed celiac and strictly gluten free? The last episode I had like this was yesterday, after I ate a certified gluten-free coconut macaroon with a little chocolate on it. I have eaten coconut and chocolate before with no issue,  so I didn't see how I could all of a sudden have such a strong response.

      The sensitivity of people with coeliac disease varies greatly between individuals. The generally accepted as safe limit for most people is 10 milligrams per day. This equates to a piece of bread the size of a small pea. Some people report that they are more sensitive than this, but others can very occasionally eat a normal gluten containing meal without reacting. I don't think that touching or throwing bread around would lead to you ingesting enough to cause a reaction. There are case reports of farmers with coeliac disease reacting to the dust from gluten-containing animal feed but they were inhaling large amounts of dust over a long period of time in barns. Perhaps you episodes are caused by a reaction to something other than gluten? Have you had your antibody levels checked to see whether you are still being exposed to gluten?
