Bourbon Balls

Tried these today. Yum.

I used whole dates, and I think that plus the 3 tbs. of water was too much moisture. So, I'd lose the water and add the liquor slowly. Made them with pecans and rolled in powdered sugar instead of coconut (son said ick anyway, don't know why I bothered).

Anyway, they're good!

Those look really good! Copied to my files. My mom makes the absolute BEST bourbon balls, and I had been looking for a gluten-free version. Will definitely try this recipe. THANKS!

Thanks so much for posting that link. My mom used to make a bourbon ball cooky recipe. I wouldn't want to replicate hers, because that was BCD (b4 my celiac disease dx), but I have just about 1/4 cup of brandy and all the other ingredients listed in your recipe. I'm in full holiday cooky baking mode now. So I'll try that recipe ASAP.
