  1. They weren’t as good, but I wondered if I over baked them. It’s hard to tell especially with gluten free but if you overcook anything gluten-free it’s just yucky lol how long do you bake yours? I will try the foil too. Is there a flavor of cookies that you prefer?
  2. I’m convinced the rash I’m dealing with off and on is DH. My question is can it be worsened by elastic or friction, heat, etc? It seems the elastic in my no show socks makes it worse as well as my underwear line or places that rub frequently or get hotter like my thighs, around my underwear line and even sometimes around other private areas. I do a lot of ...
  3. After going gluten free, can consuming gluten cause swelling/fluid retention throughout the body?
  4. I have eaten Sweet Loren’s cookies before and they were good. I got a package here lately and the cookies were terrible once I baked them. Anyone else have this issue? I want to try them again but not sure if I am doing something wrong
  5. I have had poor enamel my entire life and they never knew why. I have taken care of my teeth but it never seemed to matter much. I ended up losing a few teeth bc of this. I also lost 2 due to a tumor and both teeth had to be removed. the oral surgeon asked me if i was bulimic my enamel was so bad... I still have poor enamel and sensitive teeth with what teeth...
  6. Okay what is the secret to cooking/frying corn tortillas - like to use for tacos etc? I try to use a little oil to make them crispy and some of them soak it all up and others are dry. I feel like I'm missing the secret to making these crazy things lol
  7. No I haven't had a dermatologist look at it. If I avoid gluten it seems like I don't have any regular issues with it. I will say it was the itchiest stuff ive ever dealt with though. Calamine and hydrocortisone could barely keep the itching down- mine is mainly on the tops of my feet
  8. How do I make toast with gluten free bread?
  9. Guess I just never thought to use fettuccine noodles In place of egg noodles
  10. I don’t have a Trader Joe’s to shop at. I have Barilla gluten-free fettuccine noodles, are they like that? I don’t have a food processor either
  11. Ugh the holidays are here and I’m dreading it. One of my most favorites dishes was my grandmas noodles that she just cooked in the turkey broth. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good replacement for egg noodles for this recipe?
  12. Thank you, I'm definitely wondering if that's what this is. My feet would actually blister when they would break out, but this is a little different. It is like a cluster that gets worse if I scratch or wear hot clothes or tighter pants. I've had hives off and on my whole life. These didn't seem like the typical hives, but sounds like autoimmune hives can...
  13. Does anyone else get rashes in the same places that just randomly come and go?? I keep getting raised bumps and rash like on the back of my upper thigh. I've tried everything it seems but it always comes back
  14. So true!! its a huge change. It doesn't help that gluten free food replacements are so expensive and most taste pretty bad. Bread and crackers like saltine and ritz have been a huge struggle of mine....I really like tuna fish but I like it with saltines or as a sandwich. I miss sandwiches in general. I'm dreading next week bc ill have to basically take my...
  15. I'm fairly new to trying to live 100% gluten free. I've had to sort of doctor myself and figure things out. I thought I was misdiagnosed years ago but just trusted my doctor. since ive only gotten worse over the years I've done some research and joined here and looks like I was right all along. So at this point I would say I'm doing much better but unfortunately...
  16. Thank you, I will try this and see how things go I wish it were easier here in the US
  17. Are there others who have not gotten the biopsy or had a negative biopsy but still have celiac disease? Is the biopsy fool proof? I wasn't referred To GI after my blood work several years ago and was basically misled and told I did not have celiac disease, even with a positive TTG-iGA. I honestly cannot financially afford the biopsy or the time off...
  18. My mom has spider veins, lots of them. I do have some fluid retention issues but I have for years, nothing severe though, no.odd colors, pale like always lol
  19. So can celiac disease cause vein issues in your legs? I'm 39 with terribly embarrassing spider veins and during this last year I've really noticed prominent veins in my legs and feet and some seem to almost pop out / bulge out. Not sure it matters but I am on a beta blocker Aside from being terribly self conscious about this I'm concerned...I...

  22. Thank you! I will check these out on amazon. What improvements did you notice the most? I'm assuming you kind of diagnosed yourself with a lot of this? No blood tests for thiamine deficiency?
  23. Well.I have no idea what the RDA is for any of these but I already take a multivitamin, plus 5000 i.u. of vitamin D3, zinc and biotin. I bought some B1, B12 and a super B complex to start taking. So as long as I don't overdose on vitamins lol. I'm honestly up for anything that might help me. I'm concerned I've destroyed my body and it's starting to turn...
  24. Thank you, best of luck to your daughter as well
