    ARCHIVED poops!!

If you aren't constipated anymore - maybe its just clearing out the poop to try to come to a more "normal" amount? You might want to run, today, to your doctor and get tested for Celiac before its too late. I think its important to know how serious you need to be about your gluten free diet and to be aware of the other issues that Celiac may have...
  2. You can look at someone's profile and see the last post they made. Its supposed to tell you when they were last logged in, but when I looked, that didn't seem to be working right.
  3. Looks like she posted on Friday. I wouldn't file a missing person's report yet.?
  4. I still am confused about your blood tests? I thought you had those dubious food intolerance tests? That was what I was responding to. Obviously, I would not tell someone who actually had positive Celiac blood work that they don't have to be gluten-free.
  5. I think the tests this guy used are for wheat gluten. The gluten in most beer is from barley. That's a simple explanation.
  6. If done correctly, they can be very accurate. But using them on beer is not " doing them correctly". I believe they say something about that on the package. I have heard that Corona seems to be very low gluten. But there is no real reliable way to tell, currently
  7. I guess I don't understand. You either have Celiac or you don't. You either have an actual allergy - you would definitely have reactions and maybe an Epi pen- or you don't. Food sensitivity testing isn't very accurate. So, if gluten isn't really bothering you....and you have issues when gluten-free, then don't need be gluten free..
  8. Have you been tested for Celiac? Best to do that before going gluten free. If you don't have Celiac and you aren't allergic to gluten, then there is probably no need to mess up your life by going gluten free.
  9. They aren't supposed to... but the government doesn't have resources to jump on everything. And that isn't going to hurt anyone.
  10. Technically, they aren't supposed to label plain naturally gluten-free things like meat or apples gluten free. The flavored one you had, with seasoning or spices or whatever, is different than just meat.
  11. tocopherols are not a concern for Celiacs. they are gluten free no matter what the original source. " ...the vast preponderance of edible oils consumed in the U.S. are highly refined and processed to the extent that allergenic proteins are not present in detectable amounts. Scientific studies indicate that refined oils are safe for the food-allergic...
  12. A sauce made with bourbon can be gluten free. It depends on if they add any flour to thicken it. But it can't start out with gluten and cook the gluten out. things that are distilled will be gluten free because of the process of distillation - it isn't a filtering system. It's like those experiments from 5 th or 6 th grade with steam. Gluten is...
  13. If you were gluten free - the endoscopy and antibodies tests won't be accurate.
  14. That's just stupid. I wouldn't want to eat anything that guy makes. He has no clue. I feel I need to clarify something - a sauce that has gluten in it can not cook gluten out, if that is what you are saying.
  15. I think the reason for a few companies is that they are trying to be.... more "pure"? Less artificial ingredients. No GMOs, organic..... that sort of thing.
  16. A shared household works for many Celiacs. But everyone has to want to be careful. sounds like your father doesn't want to be careful. What does he say when he does this? What does your mother say or do? You don't need to answer these to me, but I think that is important for you to know. Maybe it is time to move out and get your own place...
  17. I would bet there is more fiber and maybe, more gluten, in whole wheat bread . Also, do you actually eat more ww bread at a time than Chezits?
  18. What did you read? This says about 10% of people with have MS have Celiac - not that 10% of Celiacs will get MS. Open Original Shared Link
  19. I think the first thing is - is it REALLY DH!? Did a dermatologist biopsy it properly and the pathology report confirms Dermatitis Herpetitis? Second- a strict gluten free diet is the only way, currently, to stop it from getting worse or coming back Third- there are things a doctor can prescribe for a period of time to help it go away.
  20. You may want to make sure your gluten-free diet has enough protein, fiber, etc. sometimes, when we eliminate gluten, we eliminate foods we need . For example, if I ate PB on toast every morning for breakfast.... now I went gluten-free and just ate a banana.... I am not getting the protein I was.
  21. So..you have had them biopsied and they are DH? Going gluten free is the only " cure" for DH. Dapsone , from your doctor, can help
  22. I have heard people say they are pretty tasty. I think they defrost a few everyday. Might be that they defrosted too many and the one you got was a dry?
  23. I am just going to be blunt - you have decided that gluten-free isn't as yummy as gluten. gluten-free soy sauce in a dish is no different than regular soy sauce. In fact, finer restaurants use the gluten-free tamari over the cheap soy stuff. Bread crumbs on your tuna casserole are not any different. Yes, bread is different, but that wasn't what you chose...
  24. Catholic churches have a very low gluten option for hosts.
  25. If the chicken is coated in gluten, like fried chicken - no, you will never get it all off. You might check - often BBQ chicken is gluten-free. In your case, because you have only been trying to be gluten-free for 2 days, it probably doesn't matter. But, in my opinion, you may want to read up a bit about being gluten free. Here is a good starting...
