I am getting a test kit sent to me from igenex. Is there any way to go through this test and info without a lyme specialists help?

I would recommend you see a specialist regardless of the results. Lyme is a clinical diagnosis...it cannot be ruled out even if tests are negative.

Having said that....you might have a negative test that is still suggestive of Lyme.....which warrants furthur investigation (additional testing). You can post the results of your Western Blots in the Lyme Disease thread or the "OMG" thread for interpretation.

If the results are positive you will need to see someone who specializes in Lyme for treatment. If the results are neg. and you have unexplained symptoms...you should probably still be evaluated since there is no test available at this time which can completely rule Lyme out.
