Several months back I contacted 3 manufacturers about their products that are sold at Costco and got no response from them. Today I went shopping at Costco and 2 of the 3 had the words gluten-free on the labels now! Yeah!(The 3rd one wasn't available.)

I think we should all contact Campbell's and beg them to make some gluten-free soups, using Rice Chex as an example of a manufacturer now getting thousands of new customers. We need cream soups for baking, tomato soup, and just about anything else! If enough of us ask, maybe they'll start thinking about the thousands of customers they're losing.

Yes! You're so right! We REALLY should! I keep hoping that General Mills will make corn Chex gluten-free too.

The new Cambell soups have some gluten-free options (healthy harvest?)

Check the label, it's product specific. I have Zesty Azteca Meatball and Rice, Savory chicken and long grain rice, And mexican style chicken tortilla

I just found the Zesty Azteca Meatball the other day, but haven't tried it yet. Up until now I've just been avoiding Campbell's altogether because every can I ever picked up had gluten in it.

Same here. This stuff was on sale, so for some reason I decided to look at it.

Just be careful if you are MSG sensitive thought because, although they say no MSG is added, they use autolyzed yeast which is MSG

Yes -- PLEASE tell us which products you found at Costco that were labeled gluten free! Thanks!

I don't remember off hand what the brands were. Two of the products that I called about were frozen fish entrees-the one that is gluten-free is a salmon with grill seasoning. The other is sliced turkey in a black plastic container with some sort of Italian looking label-Columbus is the name maybe. Sorry that doesn't help much. Our stock has run out and we need to get back, if we get back soon I'll try to check. Keep in mind that I checked and posted this thread in January. They still carry the two that were gluten-free though. There are several threads here if you do a search where many of us have listed gluten-free products from Costco.

Morey's was the brand of grilled seasoned salmon.

Are you sure? Have you called them? Their gluten-free list from September does not list any gluten free soups.

The campbells cream of mushroom soup loss is a killer!

I was recently getting their recipe of the day emails before I was put on the gluten-free diet.

They sent me a questionaire and I gave the most honest negative responses possible when they asked why or why not.

Your soup products contain gluten and I'm not interested anymore.

I'm tellin ya - the NO CREAM OF MUSHROOM SOUP is killing me!

I used it to cook my liver in! (not eewww to everyone)

I did however manage to find that Imagine has a creamy mushroom soup that I'm excited to try for my next liver dinner.

I do still by V8 and V8 splash so that I can get my fruits and vegetables in at any given time along with my salad and gluten free ranch dressing.

But the soup thing - that hurt!

Anyone got a good gluten-free Mushroom soup recipe?

I guess something changed because the Corn Chex and Cinnamon Chex in my pantry both say gluten-free on the box. Thank god, cause corn chex was one of my favorite cereals.

Bread has about 8 g of protein per 100 g, so a piece of bread weighing 125 mg contains 10 mg of gluten. Bread has a density of about 0.25 g/ml, so 0.5 ml of bread contains 10 mg of gluten - i.e. a bread ball 1 cm in diameter. I think it would be unlikely to ingest this much from throwing bread out for the birds.

Sciatica came to mind for me as well. You might want to get some imaging done on your C-spine.
    • Aretaeus Cappadocia
Maybe this is sciatica? When mine acts up a little, I switch my wallet from one back pocket to the other. this isn't a substitute for more serious medical help, but for me it's a bandaid.

OK so I just learned something completely new about this for the first time in years, that is REALLY WEIRD. One of my nerves that likes to "burn" or whatever is doing it every time I bow my head! I mean it is completely repeatable. Literally every time. Once my head goes beyond a certain angle *boom*. Nerve goes mental (lower right leg pain). What the hell. I've never seen a direct trigger such as this before that I can recall. The pain was the usual type I get from this problem - I suspect somehow the head movement was interrupting descending inhibition processes, causing the pain to leak through somehow.

I've only made this a couple of times but it's really easy and I love the flavor. If you can, use all of the ingredients to get the full palette of flavors. I use fresh or canned tomatoes and I don't worry about peeling them. If you don't have harissa, there are replacement recipes online. If you don't have the greens, I suggest adding a little chopped baby spinach or celery leaves to add a dash of green color to this red dish. Best eaten in first couple days because flavor tends to fade. Leftovers are still good, but not as vibrant. Ingredients 2 medium eggplants, partially peeled and cut into cubes (original recipe says 1 in, but I prefer 1/2 to 3/4 in) 2 tomatoes, peeled and crushed 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped or minced 1 tablespoon fresh flat-leaf parsley, chopped 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, chopped ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil 2 tablespoons spicy harissa (I use Mina brand) 1 teaspoon cumin 1 teaspoon paprika ½ teaspoon black pepper 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or lemon juice 1 tablespoon tomato paste (optional) Salt to taste Preparation     • Heat olive oil in skillet or pot over medium heat. Add all ingredients and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cover and cook on low heat for an additional 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.       • Serve warm or cold as a side or with bread for dipping. Enjoy! Original recipe is here, if you want to see photos: mina.co/blogs/recipes/zaalouk-moroccan-eggplant-salad
