New Celiac/diabetic

My son was diagnosed type 1 four months ago and celiac last month. He has been gluten free since but i think he might be getting contaminated eating his lunch at school. He now eats in the nurses office and is doing better. Does anyone have any tips for the belly ache after contamination??????

I'm not sure how old your son is but if he's old enough I usually take a Zantac because I have had gastritis before (which is too much acid in your stomach)...maybe that would help him, or for a more natural approach, I've heard peppermint oil capsuls help too. They soothe the intestines which may prevent his symptoms.

Hopefully since he is eating lunch in a safer place, the contamination will slowly stop.

I have always relied on chamomile tea to sooth my system. It really makes a difference somtimes. All Republic of Tea teas are gluten-free and the Calm(a version of chamomile) that is sold by Tazo, available at Starbucks amoung other places, is gluten-free.
