Anyone know if the product "Hunts Bold Barbeque Sauce" is gluten free? Ingredients simply reflect 'distilled vinegar' as being part of the ingredients. Thank you so much

Hi,

Hunt's is a ConAgra brand: any gluten source will be clearly disclosed on the label.

Vinegar is safe with the sole exception of malt vinegar, which will always be labeled as just that, "malt vinegar."

Look in the small print on the bottle for the Con-Agra. Hunts are Con-Agra products. Con-Agra will clearly disclose any type of gluten. that is thier policy. '

That said, vinegar in the US is not a gluten concern. (unless its malt)

The list is a little old but the companies that I have re-checked on still have the same policy.

Thanks for sharing Scott. Congratulations on having a gluten-free daughter as well makes me proud

My daughter is 19 and is gluten-free, and for her high school seemed to be the hardest period to deal with. Peer pressure was intense and it sometimes led her to cheat on her diet. She is doing much better with it now.

Do you have officially diagnosed celiac disease? Or are you not a celiac but gluten sensitive?
    • Gluten Free Jeff
In general I guess. I wasn't gluten free until I graduated highschool.

Welcome to the forum, @Gluten Free Jeff! Are you asking this for yourself or for someone else say, as their parent?
