  1. Got a herd of young men today...going to make KFG garlic enchilada casserole and large salad. FYI...was making a double batch of Betty Crocker choc chip cookie bars for them and ran out of butter....this house never runs out of butter...anyway I subbed coconut oil...they turned out fine. Also had half a bag of brownie mix I threw in to add more chocolate
  2. Family are entitled to adjustment frustrations just as we are. My hubs is very supportive...doesn't mean he instantly said let's make our house gluten-free.....although he was the one to suggest it eventually. As for dressing...there are individual packages at some fast food places...I used to ask for two or three when we ordered baked potatoes and chili...
  3. Yep...thanks for the giggle
  4. I'm grumpy...no real reason just in a foul mood. Tomorrow will be better. Dinner is Baked Chicken with Parmesan Garlic Pasta and Broccoli Almost forgot....Welcome Home Irish and hubs!!!

  11. Sorry Irish..,I missed the sun dance post...could have sent you plenty from here today! What scent are the bubbles? Believe it or not we may have thunder storms tomorrow...crazy weather...but we sure can use every drop! One of the men is making the mini meatballs as we speak...the other is going to make garlic bread.
  12. PS. Make sure to get your vitamin d and other nutrients if possible tested at six months or a year gluten-free...if the deficiency you have improve that is more data that can be important down the road.
  13. Glad you are feeling better. Many of us have both good and bad days during the early days gluten free. Since your doctor was not as helpful as she could have been...I highly suggest keeping a symptom log...both good and bad details. Hang in there and let us know if you have questions
  14. So yesterday ended up being fried chicken with smashed sweet potatoes/potatoes and asparagus. Had plugged in KFG and grated mozzarella just to find out we were out of pasta sauce...I make huge pots of it in the crock and then can/jar and store them. Boys use all the time for bagel pizzas and pasta for lunch...they are supposed to tell me when they grab...

  17. The test for SIBO is not very accurate...forget the percentages...you can google them. With or without SIBO, probiotics are a very good idea for the healing digestive system -- as long as you can tolerate them. Digestive enzymes can also help during healing.
  18. Really...I never tried that. I have doc notes in all of our wallets....never needed to pull them out
  19. I take food everywhere. Usually the folks checking don't understand Celiac Disease so I do say I have severe allergies and can not eat out safely. Only one time did my meal get tossed...and that was when my hubs was carrying my bag for me....now I let him carry until we are at the check point That being said...many chips and candy are gluten-free
  20. Meatloaf is the easiest option. Want an easy recipe?....hope hubs is feeling better soon So my sinful bacon wrapped sweet potatoes got postponed as I wasn't able to cook last night...son made simple BBQ pork chops, rice and carrot curls.
