  2. If your con is becoming larger...check and see if there are several panels you want in the same room...sometimes it pays to stay in that room for whatever is sandwiched between them...ours gives out bathroom break passes too...so make sure you get those if they are passing them out

  4. oh goodie...need some wine reinforcements anywho...the sherry will count as one of 6 bottles at the grocery to qualify for 10% discount. Win-Win
  5. for some things i've used the white wine sub...but when it's a key ingredient -- it's not the same. No worries...Sandie is in training on adventures...needed to go trade cars with one of the guys shortly anywho so will take Super Sandie along and make it an adventure!
  6. Shit, no Sherry in da house....guess I'll pick up some yogurt too. Our freezer was low on meat supply last week so I've been shopping a lot lately...was hoping to skip the store...at least it has really, really cold AC

  12. Thanks for the great idea and J's wholehearted approval. My hubs and I made a deal when we met...whomever cooks doesn't clean...on nights we both cooked, we both cleaned up....until the boys were big enough to take over...same deal if they cook the rest of us clean up...when they were little and were bickering during KP...we went to an every other night...

  14. I don't often say this about a gluten-free cookbook as I generally cook from regular recipes and just make necessary subs for gluten, but the ATK gluten-free book is worth purchasing.
  15. I haven't made the English muffins from ATK yet...but the biscuits were awesome. Thanks again Irish....think I'm going to make a batch to top a chicken pot pie type casserole for tonight...if a can stop snuggly my little Sandie doggie long enough to cook

  17. And it was a beautiful pizza indeed! Thanks to Karen's heads up...all the men and I all had a couple slices of bacon for breakfast...we were all up and out at different times, but a special day for bacon is a special day indeed. Hubs just got home from riding around the county and is now making a BLT. Dinner will be steak with bacon topped something...
  18. Awesome!! Just picks up a few pounds of thick and along with a few pounds of regular sliced....whatever shall I do? Hey where is our bacon dancing dude? Dinner is fresh yellowtail...I can't eat it even seared of late so made some interesting dipping sauce for my sashimi slices. Hubs is eating light with me and then off to ride around the city...
  19. Red corn sounds cool...can't remember where I heard someone was making "Christmas Enchiladas" with red corn tortillas...oh ya, it was on the funnypages from a grade school friend. Tonight is Baked fish and veggie foil packets with a new dressing I picked up on sale 'Mango Chipoltle'. Mango slices on the side.
  20. Hmmm never tried a flea comb.,.will check it out..thanks. We have been on trails all over the western states plus BC and never had issue...that is why we are frustrated..first year advantage ever failed.
  21. Yep...made them like I make meatloaf...egg, breadcrumbs salt pepper herbs onion. The ground pork and sausage was a new twist and very good.
  22. Italian snuck in here as well.... Temporary reprieve on humidity helped me get the kitchen back in order. Half ground pork half Italian sausage mixed up like meatloaf...then had one of the guys spoon into mini muffin tins so I could bake in the toaster oven. Found fettuccini noodles deep in the pasta cabinet...so those with pasta sauce and the...
