  1. I didn't think tapioca could do that... I had leftover mac and cheese with raw carrots.
  2. I'm thinking you might have another food intolerance or you are getting cc'd somewhere.
  3. Just to point out, you can make corn bread gluten free.
  4. I really like Betty crocker's gluten free yellow cake mix.
  5. Alright, so i finally made the mac and cheese (after posting about a while ago). I made it a bit different. I took some mild chedder cheese instead of the kraft slice cheese. It turned out grainy. I cooked it at a medium temp, used only milk and a touch of corn starch in addition to the cheese. What'd i do wrong?
  6. 1. Yes, celiac is an autoimmune disease. 3. No, there isn't. 4. celiac disease is celiac disease, some my have no obvious symptoms, others may have really bad symptoms. A. True C. Quite true. D. To prove? It is true you must do a gluten challenge in order for tests to come back accurately if you have been off of gluten.
  7. I would contact the catering company for the wedding. That would be the best bet for that type of information. I would not eat anything off of a buffet.
  8. Unless you are having any lingering issues, i would not cut anything else out at this time. Soups are a good idea.
  9. There are no words for this... the only thing i like with my steak is a little salt... I cannot imagine chocolate with it...
  10. Planning on making mac and cheese with broccoli and maybe another veggie...
  11. I'll try the cornmeal idea. I've had pizzas with it before (in my gluten eating days), so i have no issues with it. Do you just dust the pan with it before you put the crust in?
  12. It was homemade as well... just strawberries, sugar, and the stuff to make the jelly. I recently (as of the last few months) got it back.
  13. I had a peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwich.
  14. Yep. You can make many of your favorite foods gluten free. Eat before hand and go out and be with your friends. You do not need to eat out to have fun.
  15. Yet another topic i'm sure has been discussed before. What is the best pre-made bagel?
  16. Meat, veggies, fruit, rice, quinoa, corn is a short list. You can do quite a bit with those.
  17. so, i made pizza for lunch. I decided to line my pan (an 8x8 glassware) with foil and try it that way. The pizza crust still stuck... that's even with me oiling it before i put the crust in. Any ideas on what to try next?
  18. Celaic has a large range of symptoms (last number i saw was about 200 or so). Issues that one may not think are related can certainly be related. Many do not have symptoms that are 'typical' (stomach issues and the like).
  19. No fair Chicken noodle soup for me.
  20. There is no guarantee that you will develop it though. A good percentage of the population of the US, for example, carry the genes for celiac (about 30%). Of those, a small number actually develop it (1% is the number i have heard the most).
  21. Generally, i'll start to get tired at about 3 or so pm. Before that, I'm okay. But i will say i wake up less at night now. It only happened once last night and the night before that none. Yep, i'm sure. Its gluten free, soy free, dairy free, etc.
