Check the ingredients listing for the oil used in frying.  If its not expeller pressed or extra-virgin oil, it contains toxic residual chemicals that injury the gut.  The toxins include: hexane (gasoline by-product), deodorizers (masking the putrification), bleach & more. It's just not worth becoming sick over chips.

Ten Top Brands of Gluten-Free Potato Chips
Celiac.com 06/25/2019 - Just in time for summer, here are ten of America's top gluten-free potato chip brands. True, potatoes are naturally gluten-free, and so are potato chips, unless they've got added gluten ingredients. However, many brands do not label their chips as gluten-free, and many of these chips may be made on shared equipment. That's not necessarily a big deal, but some people like to play it safe. These brands go the extra mile to make sure their chips are labeled "Gluten-Free," which means that you can breath extra easy about serving them to people with celiac disease.

Are CornNuts, INKA Corn, and other Corn Snacks Gluten-Free?
Celiac.com 06/18/2019 - One question we see a lot is: Are CornNuts, INKA Corn, and other Corn Snacks Gluten-Free? The short answer is yes. CornNuts are labeled gluten-free and are safe for people with celiac disease.
Increasingly popular Inka Corn is also gluten-free. Both snacks come in a variety of flavors. They're great snacks to have on hand for a road trip, hike, or as a compliment to your favorite gluten-free beer or other beverage.
Several other companies make a corn nut type snack, including Manitou Trading Company, and Sincerely Nuts. Corn nuts are also a good option for people who can't eat tree nuts or peanuts. Remember, if you have a food allergy or sensitivity, always double check the label, and check with the manufacturer if you're not sure.
