I've been seeing a hematologist since April and I have a high platelet count along with being anemic and having a B12 deficiency does this mean that I have celiac disease? I had my endoscopy done yesterday and the lab work on Tuesday.

Were you eating gluten right up until the endoscopy?

We'll all just have to wait for your lab & endoscopy results to know if you have celiac or not. Anemia & B-12 deficiency are certainly symptoms of celiac disease but that alone doesn't mean you have celiac.

To add more - I had extra platelets and oddly shaped ones.  When you are severely anemic, your body tries to make more platelets and different shaped ones to move oxygen.  When I was able to absorb iron, B12, etc they went back to normal numbers and shapes.
