Maybe you can teach me about all this stuff when you come up here.....hint, hint, hint. :P:D:lol:

Oh, and when I DO come up I'll bring all my duplicate or unused EM products! You can have them!

I can't believe I am going to have more than 50 eyeshadow colors. :o

Hard to believe but true...in my case too. :P

Wow, I can be a yellow-green with beige and pink highlights KERMIT if I want! For several weeks...maybe months. :P

I think they are still working on the tracking number issue...judging by the number of posts on the shipping/kits issues I think it may be a while longer before the tracking thing is fixed.

Thanks for sharing about your order Donna, all the new colors you got sound wonderful! :)

I am sure Paula will be taking notes, since you guys seem to have the same coloring

Omg how well do you know me. I was just thinking i need to order since today is the last day of the special. I have been so brain fogged i never ordered after i filled my case up lol.

Donna,

I outgrew my case to that is why it only has the large sizes in it and allthe eyeshadows lol

So today's new products are Pearl Beige concealor, Natural blush (not a new color, just new to me), and room addition.

I used the pearl beige the same as I did yesterday...just a little mixed with silk dust as a primer layer.

I first tried Champagne blush, but that was very light...I couldn't tell if it was giving me color or not, lol. I ended up using Natural blush over that, and then the new blush Lounge Party over that. I was scared of Lounge Party because it is so dark, but I think I'll try that by itself tomorrow...it was the only one I put on today that had color, lol. Natural is very nice and natural looking but no color to speak of. Champagne may be good for those of you with really fair skin looking for a nice soft pink. This one is much lighter than Soft Touch if any of you have that.

I put Room Addition on as an eyeliner. All the new blues I got are shades of teal, mostly medium to darker in tone.

I looked at a swatch of launch party that someone did over on the EM forum. Yeeow - that looks DARK! I definitely won't be using that one as a blush, but it will probably make a nice eyeshadow. I so hope my order comes soon. I have so many clothes with blue/teal in them and I am stoked for all the new colors. But I think I will need to get a bigger case to hold all of my makeup. Mine is bursting at the seams!

I didnt order any eye shadows, i figured when the next speical hits i will get an 10 pack of eye shadows lol. I also will need some more green tea for my face. I really love the green tea one, it is less thick then the lavender one lol.

Shipping prices are much better now. I oculd of got mine for 5 bucks for usps regular but i spent 7 for the usps priority lol.

I have been using tinted silk under my foundation and i love it. My face does not get hot and i dont have to reapply my makeup after working outside or playing baseball. I cant wait to get the silk dust to try under or any of the many start to finish powders that i ordered lol

Hi ladies!

I ordered on June 5, and my status only changed today from "funded" to "shipped".....very annoying. And I got my order today! Even though I was stressing, it still came fast, and I am so in love with the new colors I got!

I got the mini eyeshadow kit again, and this time it came with an angled brush, which is great! I got 10 Items Or Less, Diary, Snowflakes, Well Being, Bubble Tea, Mistletoe, Happy Go Lucky, Starlit, Plane View and Cool Breeze. I don't know which I like better, they are all so pretty! Even my boys were pointing out the ones they liked when I tested them all on my inner forearm! Mistletoe is gorgeous, it's the green I've been waiting for! The special, Launch (Lounge) Party, is a blush, but it's very dark brown, so I doubt I'll use it as a blush, but instead as an eyeshadow. It has a very pretty gold sparkle. I got the puff jar, which I'll use for my silk dust/light peach face color mixture. I ordered a large Multi-tasking Neutral foundation, and both Soccer Practice and Natural lip glosses. Natural is a little too flat, so I'll probably mix something else with it...come to think of it, Launch Party would look great in it!

I also got the Green Tea Everyday Everywhere, but I'm very disappointed in that because there is no scent whatsoever! Is that the way it's supposed to be? I'm not happy about that at all.

I also got my friend the free sample kit...I'm turning them all on to EDM!

dlp252 Apprentice

Yeah, now that you mention it, there really isn't any scent to the Green Tea...fortunately for me though, I'd probably not do well with it if it did have scent. Hum, I thought the lavendar had some scent to it though...must double check that.

confused Community Regular

That is the reason i love the green tea one cause it does not smell. I would not want to smell like gree tea lol. The lavender is sometimes overpowering and it just makes my skin all greasy. Green tea makes the makeup set very well and stays set all day. I would get greasy with the lavender after a few hours before summer came lol.

I cant wiat to get mine, but im beting it wont be til next week.

I ordered 3 large foundations this time. Im back in love with buttered tan, i think its cause i have gotten so much sun lol

Hi Mango!! I haven't bumped in to you in a couple of weeks, how you doin??

Hi Julie! I am great! Do you know why? ....because...it only took my make-up six days to get from Texas to my doorstep in Prague (and I didn't have to pay a customs fee), and I didn't even pay for any fancy shipping either. :D :D :D :D :D There are dhl vans here....now I won't be tempted to start stalking them.

I am sooo excited! Will come back soon with color reviews. :P

dlp252 Apprentice

Okay, I really LIKE Lounge Party! I tried it today just by itself and it's a really nice color...kind of a bronzer with a little color to it. It looks so very dark in the jar, but it went on much lighter. In the jar it looks sort of olive brown to me, but on it almost has a slight red tint to it...very subtle hint of red. I really like it. I have on a red sweater today so maybe it's just picking up the red from my sweater, but whatever, I like it. :P

I'm also wearing Champagne as eyecolor, lol. It was way too light for blush for me, but I really like it as an eyecolor. Brightens my eyes. :)

Wearing PEARL mint concealer. I am a shiney kermit! :) Actually it looks pretty nice...I noticed by the end of the day the last two days that my chin redness was showing through, so I'm hoping the green today will counteract that. As I've been doing for the last few days, I mix a miniscule amount of the pearl concealor with much more silk dust and put on as a primer layer. I think these pearl concealors will have MUCH to much sheen to use on their own for most people.

HeartofGlass224 Rookie

OK, I expected it to have at least a little green tea scent to it. I love the smell of green tea. Oh well! I will try it on my face though. Thank you guys!

I had to try my new stuff last night after I showered! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Mistletoe, it's that dark green I've been waiting for, and the sparkle colors are sooooo pretty! I wore that with Good China and Emerald liner, it looked great! Today I have on 10 Items Or Less, Starlit, and Good China with black liquid liner, and I adore them. 10 Items Or Less is just so pretty, such a nice color. I have never worn blue eyeshadow before, but I love it!

I'm going to get some little round stickers to label the tops of my jars with, I can't stand having to dig and turn every one of them over every time I put on makeup.

Not bad, Mango! I'm glad you didn't have to pay the outrageous shipping charges. Can't wait to hear your reviews!

I wasn't so sure about those pearl concealers, Donna....I figured they'd be too much, epecially on pale skin. Lounge Party looks so pretty, I think I'll try that tomorrow.

It took 5 days to get from (maybe 4) Texas to Washington. :o I'd say six days is fantastic!

All this talk about these colors makes me want to order more. Donna.....you need to come up and teach me how to use this stuff. Maybe then I'd have an excuse to get more.

I know...it used to take over a week for it to get to me in California, so I'm pretty excited. I was really expecting to wait a few weeks.

Okay...I haven't actually worn any of the colors yet but...

Lounge Party - love it! beautiful sparkly bronzer or really nice brown eye shadow (and a lifetime supply of it :D )

Shortcake and Walkee Talkee - great pink blushes. So far, they seem pinker than the other blushes, so hopefully these ones won't turn orange.

Pick Me Up Pink Pearl -  I'll use this as a face highlighter. LOL

Bubble Tea and Starlit - very similar but Starlit is just a tad darker and bluer (at least in the jar). Can't wait to wear these tomorrow.

Cliche - definitely more bone/white than brown - but very nice.

Pearl Sunlight - wish I had ordered a large one!

Pressed powders... Just how the heck do people use these, lol.

I was running late this morning, so decided to save time I would just try one of my new pressed powders as a foundation. Um, wow, lol. Talk about coverage! Sheesh. :P I started with my nose...probably not a good place to start. I finally got it all evened out, but my face looked so pale and chalky. Then I decided to try some Soft Butter Peach foundation over it. Okay, now we're talkin'! Looks very good, but is paler than SBP over silk dust with concealor. I like the end result and it matches my neck well, so I'm thinking if this works out well for the entire day, I might try the pressed powders as a primer layer. :P

Does anyone apply it with a brush? How does that work for ya?

confused Community Regular

Ok my order still just says funded. Im not sure i like the new site lol

Donna,

I havent got my prssed powders yet, so im no help. Which color did you order. I think i got the ivory one lol.

I think cliche has a blueish/grayinsh tinge to it.

I want my order, dang it lol

Paula, now that I'm looking at the EM site, I think I ordered the wrong pressed powders, lol. I ordered Fair Yellow and Golden Fair Foundations. I think I may try fairly light foundations and Olive light, and then I'll give up, lol.

How sick is this?! I've got another $50 kit almost full! Hey, if I'm going to order this stuff anyway, might as well get the 20% off.

AndreaB Contributor

sniff......I can't order anymore for who knows how long. Switching homeschool curriculum as well as another spending spree and we are out of money for extras. :(

dlp252 Apprentice

Well, I SHOULDN'T order, and actually probably won't, but it WAS fun to fill the kit, lol. I have to get new tires tomorrow, so that will cost a bunch, plus there's still the flooring situation.

HeartofGlass224 Rookie

I was thinking about ordering a pressed powder the next time, in fact I have one in my cart already lol...I do miss having that to use when I'm out and about. It seems like when it's warm, my makeup wears off quickly.

Does anyone find that sometimes you end up with small patches on your eyelids where the shadow just won't stick? It drives me insane....everything will be perfect except for one or two little areas on my lids that just don't want to take the color. It's odd, and very annoying, I wish I knew why that happened.

I just cleaned out my tacklebox (what I'm using until I get a train case) and labelled all the tops of each container with names and the color rubbed on it...unfortunately, the colors didn't want to stick to the stickers! I need a better system....time for a spreadsheet perhaps? :P

Mango, when you say you use a color for a face highlighter, where and how do you use it? I've been mixing the Light Peach blush mixed into my Silk Dust to give my whole face some sparkle, and I love it. Sometimes it's just too much though.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!

dlp252 Apprentice
....time for a spreadsheet perhaps? :P

Now we're talkin'!

I don't get those patches when I am putting my stuff on, but at the end of the day, the shadow wears off unevenly and I seem to get patches. That has been reduced a little since I started using Loreal Decrease as a primer (still don't know what the heck is in there, lol).

@nanny marley, I had great improvement by supplementing with a B Complex and extra thiamine in the form Benfotiamine which promotes intestinal healing.  I followed the AutoImmune Protocol Diet developed by a doctor with Celiac Disease herself, Dr. Sarah Ballantyne.  The AIP diet removes everything from the diet that can be irritating or hard to digest.  After a period of time to heal, other foods are slowly added back into the diet if tolerated.   For more stories of my journey, read my blogs by clicking on my name and choosing activities in the dropdown menu.

Hi @Redlima My anxiety hit before diagnosis, and in fact it was anxiety which led me to see a doctor who put me on the road of various blood tests which revealed iron deficiency, raised globulin levels and borderline B12.  At first my GP suspected a type of cancer, and didn't really know what else to make of it until about six months down the road when I started to get diarrhea and was losing weight.  That then led another GP to do more tests and coeliac disease was the culprit. Clinical anxiety can be very scary indeed and I suffered with a horrible, irrational phobia at that time, too.  I could hardly think straight.  My GP put me onto citalopram but also, thankfully, I found a couple of books that helped me to get through this time and I always mention them on this forum, at the risk of repetition, because they were a huge help to me. Paul David's 'At Last a Life' book (and his forum), as well as Dr Steve Llardi's 'The Depression Cure' book which looks at things which we neglect in modern life, such as physical exercise, omega-3 fatty acids,  natural sunlight exposure,  restorative sleep,  social connectedness and  meaningful, engaging activity.  These things can really make a difference.   At the same time, my vitamin and mineral deficiencies were addressed.  Have you had your levels checked, particularly B12 and iron?  These are particularly important as deficiencies can really affect people's mental health.  If they are low or low normal, get your doctor to prescribe some supplements, but at the same s/he needs to keep an eye on iron going forward, as too much in the blood is dangerous.  I found B12 incredibly helpful in feeling better in the early stages of my recovery - sometimes, it was almost like night and day just a few hours after taking it.  (Someone on this forum recommended Solgar sublingual tablets, they are great.) My anxiety started to get a lot better after a few weeks but there were setbacks which made me at times think I'd not recovered, or perhaps ever would.  But like a jagged line on a chart, which has ups and downs but over all has an upward trajectory, I did get better in the end.  I hope that you will find the same, and that perhaps some of this story has helped.
    • badastronaut
So after  a long time in which I got my zinc and folic acid levels back on track I will now start with taking Thiamine to see if that does anything. According to my blood levels I'm not low on Thiamine but, if I understand correctly, blood works are not the best way to find out if there is a Thiamine shortage. How much Thiamine should I take to start with? 100 mg?

I'm in the "never reveal your plans to the enemy" camp on this one--it's none of their business if you're looking for another job, so I would leave that out of any conversation. Also, retaliation can be common with some employers, especially if you bring up the ADA and claim a disability because of celiac disease. I was a corporate paralegal for 5 years and handled employment claims against some major USA companies, and I've seen it all--even by huge companies that contract with the government and should know better. I say keep your cards close to your vest, wear an N95 mask if you handle wheat flour, and quietly look for another job if you feel you can't continue there.  Oh, and when I say "enemy," I mean that unscrupulous managers may quickly become your enemy, even if the law is on your side, and they could find trivial reasons to give you the 3 quick warnings that may be necessary to fire you. Very few lawyers would take such a case on a contingency basis, so unless you have a stockpile of money, you'd have no recourse.
    • trents
@ohmichael doesn't have an official diagnosis of celiac disease yet. That would need to happen if he were to pursue a disability claim.
