Heavenly Ham

After receiving a delicious Heavenly Ham for Christmas, I thought, "Great, meat....I can eat that." I didn't give it a second thought until I ate it and felt like I'd been punched in the stomach. So, I went to their web site (which I should have done first) and found this:

"Our hams and turkeys are gluten and allergen free. However, there is a trace amount of wheat starch and soy in the spice that is applied to our glaze. We are currently in the process of changing the spice recipe to remove the allergens, but it is not currently available. While we cannot sell our hams and turkeys without the glaze, it can be trimmed and the bottom portion of the meat does not get glazed."

Obviously the folks in PR need to do a little research before suggesting that people with gluten sensitivities can simply trim off the glaze and eat the ham as if it were de-glutened. But at least they are working on it and that means that we are getting the word out.

      Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

      I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.
