I have been gluten free for 6 months now but I still feel weird every once in awhile, like I've gotten it somewhere. I was suspecting the vitamins/supplements I'm taking but I checked the label and gluten isn't on the ingredients list. Does this mean they are gluten free or can they get away with not labeling it? If so, does anyone have a gluten free list of such companies? Thanks for the info.

Country Life makes good certified gluten free vitamins. If you tell us what brand you are currently using someone might know for sure if they are safe.

Yes, they can get away with not labelling gluten on vitamins. They are not considered to be a food, even though you ingest them like a food and as a food supplement. They come under different regulations. It is always best to check with the company, or with a prescribed medication have the pharmacist check for gluten content. The labelling for drugs and vitamins stinks! Some of the good companies will clearly state gluten free. If they don't, you should check.

Both NOW Foods and Source Naturals are good with labeling, and have many gluten-free supplements.

      Trying to read my lab results

      Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep...

      Constant low back, abdominal and pelvic pain!

      I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

      Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
