Bad Morning

I was feeling so good all week being off of gluten and dairy, so good I was so excited to get on a regular routine and actually go to work and not be late because I had to stop at every.single.bathroom. on the way. This morning was terrible, I was so sick, I had a panic attack and terrible anxiety all day. Last night I ate taco salad, with ortega seasoning, has anyone had trouble with ortega products? I dont know if it was the Ortega, but its the only thing I can think of, either that or all these issues have caused my anxiety to hit the roof everytime I leave my house, and I need to get my anxiety in order.

I had ortega twice before a while back.I don't think I had any problem with it.

I'm not saying you didn't have trouble with the Ortega (although I haven't) but anxiety over all this can definitely be a problem. On occasion it's kept me from going places or doing things.

Welcome, Alicia! I don't know if I've used Ortega or not but if you're newly diagnosed, perhaps the spices are just too much for you until you heal more. Our bodies can be pretty wonky at first.

I know there are recipes for making your own taco seasoning and I've been tempted to try it and know exactly what's in it (probably a lot cheaper, too).

What else was in the salad? Did you make every part of it? Did you cook meat in a pan that might have had gluten in it? Did you cut veggies on a board that had been used for bread (ever)?

There are so many sources of contamination that you have to think through every step before assuming it must be some spice or some product.

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?

Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
