Allergy Testing

I have been gluten free for 8 months to control my migraines and acid reflux. I cut out the wheat/gluten when my migraines where a daily occurrence. Amazingly the acid reflux went away also! I still need meds to control the migraines. My family thinks I should see an Allergist. Allergies run in my family. I was talking with my cousins this weekend and two have had allergy testing done and one was allergic to 9 the other was allergic to 60.

My fear with the allergy testing is a major migraine/reflux. Even with my meds and gluten free, if I accidentally eat gluten I will have migraine/reflux for 3 to7 days.

Generally, it is a skin test. They measure whether or not you'll get a hival reaction. I believe there is a blood test as well.

I have majore issues with tomatos. It only gave me a massive hive, but not any of my usual reactions.
