  1. Just want to say that I too cannot drink regular soda's (because of fructose load) but am fine with diet coke or pepsi. Thanks for mentioning Hansens I haven't tried it and will now. Aspartame is fine for my fructose intolerance but the diet sodas with splenda will wreak havoc everytime!
  2. I had lost a lot of weight when I was sick and didn't know what was going on. In a matter of few months I started gaining it back with all the gluten free replacement foods. They usually have more calories than their gluten comparison and the bread is smaller ! When I got around 145 pounds (I am 5'4) I decided to ditch the goodies and eat fresh foods...
  3. I have problems with Frito's corn chips as well but so does my husband who is not celiac. I think they are just too greasy and heavy?? Notice how your fingers are kinda oily after eating a bunch? They are very hard to eat just one so I stay away from them.
  4. My husband and I have a ritual of making a really nice dinner and sharing a bottle of wine (about 2 1/2 glasses each), then watch a rented movie. I used to be fine with that but now if we share a bottle, I can't stay awake long enough to finish the movie. My tolerance has defiantly changed. I like who ever said, "I'm a cheap drunk" fits me to a T now.
  5. I already mentioned in the other post that the cinnamon one does bother me. Its the milk powder, I am very dairy sensitive. Soy lecithin is an ingredient as well. Not every reaction necessarily means gluten.

  9. I've heard this too. Its very important to never snort Zicam. Its meant to only be inserted 1/4 inch into the nostril then pressed gently on the side for the nose to absorb it. With the squirt type your supposed to tilt up so that it doesn't shoot up nasal cavity and again gently press on the side of the nostril. Haven't had any problems with migraines...
  10. I recently made a connection that I have fructose malabsorption and Honey is 100% fructose so I get the big D about a half hour after consuming even a tsp of honey. I also stay away from anything the is made with High fructose Corn Syrup, Corn Syrup, and Corn Syrup Solids. Not saying this is your problem at all but its made a huge difference in my life...
  11. My chef used sweet potato flour when we hosted a gluten free dinner last fall. He made them into ravioli. Didn't get to try them because of the dairy. Everyone liked the taste, said it was kinda nutty flavored perfect for fall.
  12. I've been using Zicam allergy swabs (for the nasal passage) and so far they have been working great! They are homeopathic so no heavy duty chemicals. I researched and someone else called them and Zicam states all their products are gluten free. The only downside is that they are 12.00 for twenty swabs.   13. When trying to choose a fiber supplement, I went to the benefiber website. I can't remember where on the site but it does disclaim that even though the gluten is less than 10ppm they recommend that a celiac NOT use their product. It was at the bottom of one their pages, maybe the ingredient one?
