  1. Lmao...Los Angeles is still in the good ol' USofA....there's a bunch of wackies trying to split California into six states...might of got my vote, except we would have to keep LA with us . Where you moving Paul? Eventually I'll be along the Northern boarder...Montana or Washington...can't wait!
  2. still early here....and quite warm when i leave my igloo...so I've got one word that should be good for a few giggles: Cannonball!
  3. "Here's a little song I wrote..." Open Original Shared Link Most moments I choose to be happy...spent too much time sick to sweat the small stuff ... hell I don't really sweat the big stuff any more as long as I've got my family and friends that remind me what's important and make me laugh...all is good : )
  4. I agree with Cara and Gemini. Three to six months completely gluten free to monitor symptom improvement/resolution is your next best step now that testing is complete. My kids were seronegative except for the oldest had a single positive DGP at age 25. Two of three have been diagnosed with Celiac Disease, the third is gluten-free without official Dx...
  5. Did he have any other celiac antibody test? The DGPs should be included with initial along with follow up blood work.
  6. The blood tests are not perfect, especially when you were gluten light. I am not saying you have celiac disease, only that it remains a very real possibility.
  7. Last night was turkey meatloaf and bacon brussel sprouts. Tonight is rosemary chicken with pasta (zu-noodles for me) and broccoli Tomorrow is some crazy baked cheesy chicken nuggets with sweet potato fries and some sort of veggie.
  8. Hi Cheryl! If you have been mostly wheat free you likely have been mostly gluten free which would make the celiac antibody tests inaccurate and could also make the damage in your intestine harder to find unless you had multiple biopsies. Beyond frustrating, but I suggest you remove absolutely all gluten for at least 3 months - 6 is better to monitor...
  9. Eggs do not have gluten. If they are farm fresh they do need to be washed well. If someone has issue with eggs, I would argue that they are having issue with either the white, the yolk or both. Eggs have high lectin and histamine content which can cause bloating or other symptoms that could make someone with celiac disease erroneously think they had...
  10. She has a positive DQ2 which means there is a possibility of celiac disease. Hayley...how long ago did you test negative? Was a complete celiac antibody panel done...including total serum IgA? Have you been tested for nutrient deficiencies? Have you removed gluten for any amount of time? Do you have the pathology and procedural reports from the endoscopy...
  11. Run Around -- Blues Traveler "Humor me and tell me lies"
  12. Hey Laura....I'm good with stabbing too! Sounds like a good idea to find an alternative to running it through the digestive tract. My daughter with Lupus has always had trouble with it ... Abdominal issues and more. So KFG is fast becoming Lisa's second favorite gadget! Crock pot Lasagna was awesome...was better than any other labor intensive...
  13. Your Song -- Elton John
  14. Just wanted to watch him roll again. Added benefit around here is limiting the teens (mine and the spares) to three enchiladas
  15. I roll when entertaining and sometimes for the guys...depends on my mood
  16. Thanks IH! I forgot to tell you...I have been eating tomatillos...small quantity of chopped on top of my creamy garlic enchiladas...perhaps I should try to make verde enchilada sauce soon. oh Karen forgot to tell you...they worked great in the crock. Instead of rolling ... I cut corn tortillas in half and layered...men thought they tasted better! ...
  17. How about pancakes? I stay positive, but have gone through periods that I am way beyond frustrated. The hardest periods are the flares that follow big improvement...those have been hardest on my family too. Kids are tough...they are likely more sad that Moms feeling sick than about missing good times with you this summer. Here is what I did. Tell...
  18. They are more like wide egg noodles with a curly edge...we use them in everything that we used to use wide noodles for....going to give it a try. Thanks
  19. America the Beautiful -- Katherine Bates & Samuel Ward Have no idea who the first was to record so I listed composer and lyricist .....which gives plenty of words to play with
  20. I. Get. This! Could have written the same thing at month seven....when I removed gluten my digestive system improved at first, but all my autoimmune and inflammation type symptoms got worse....oh so frustrating. My best advice would be try removing histamines for one week...if you don't notice any improvement (don't expect miracles...just note less bloating...
  21. Crock 'lasagna' up mañana ... Have you used reg noodles in the crock...was thinking of using Sam mills mini lasagna noodles layered instead of lasagna noodle...they should get done in three hours too I'd guess.
  22. Ps...forgot to add a step. I always sear meat before throwing in the crock...really high temp in fry pan for just a few seconds on both sides for chops, all sides for roasts.
  23. KFG getting a workout this week....last night was improvised but men loved. Layered: Sliced apples Cinnamon Sugar Two bone in pork chops Garlic salt and pepper Thick sliced onion Two more pork chops Garlic salt and pepper More onion About 1/2 cup of broth High for three hours. Pulled the pork chops Added a couple Tbsp cornstarch with...
  24. Shake Your Grove Thing -- Peaches and Herb
  25. Six months feels like a very long time, but in reality it can take longer to heal. Have you had your celiac antibodies run again? Checked all supplements, medication, etc for gluten? Are you living in a shared kitchen? If all these things have been addressed it is time to look to other intolerance. In my opinion if you are having allergic type reactions...
