  1. Well that was the best day post glutening ever -- yet still sucked. Just installed myself in my comfy chair -- feet elevated -- ice on various parts and ready to start barking orders at my men as they pass thru the room -- teasing -- mostly -- I will have them fetch me fresh ice, tea and water Good thing I spoiled (bribed) them with sweet treats all...
  2. Yo Kiki...you still reading this thread? How are you?
  3. I missed this one....Thanks Gatita for noting. Welcome to the forum Qbuildgirl
  4. For me getting glutened is now more a humbling experience than past glutenings - I used to get more upset at myself and angry at gluten - yesterday when it happened I went home threw on jammies and accepted it was going to be a rotten night. My family has jokingly called gluten kryptonite for years - now that I am relatively healthful - I must say it is...
  5. Sorry Addie - me too today Have no idea what happened other than cleaning my folks house - I always wash well after spending time there and never eat over there, but here I sit with obvious gluten symptoms. Nettle tea, lots of water and a bowl of spag squah is it for tonight - crappy end to a day that started of great! Hope everyone is much improved...
  6. In severe cases it can take some time -- I gave up histamines in late November -- still can't tolerate any histamine containing or histamine inducing foods. I can however tolerate moderate exercise in a bit warmer temps than ever before
  7. So - it is cold many places - flu bugs flying willy nilly and a good cheesebread recipe - hold the double oil! Road trip needed! Life has gotten in the way of me snapping pics of candidates but I have spied them everywhere I walk and run! Yes these joints haven't handled the impact of running in over 20 years! Dinner was almonds and dried pears in the...
  8. Ran outta steam from a good day hiking. Pizza delayed until tomorrow. Hubby chopping and dicing away while I enjoy my glass of zin and catch up with the news of the day. He has his choice of shrimp, ground beef or ny steaks...hmmm I wonder which he will choose? Steak with something yummy ahead
  9. I've used regular white rice flour in similar circumstance -- worked fine.
  10. Oh...tonight I'm stealing Alex's idea -- was going to make pizza for the other son yesterday as a Valintine, but ran out of time -- hadn't thought of making heartshaped ones, so toight we'll have heartshaped personal pizzas for everyone - except me
  11. Left my electronics shut down last night... Dinner was: Steak - everyone's favorite Baked Mac and Cheese - one son's favorite Cauliflower "Fried Rice" - my favorite when hubby makes for me -- which he did and added halved baby brussel sprouts -- YUM! Strawberry Cake with Strawberry Cream Cheese Frosting for extended family. I licked my...
  12. For Goodness Sake.... If anyone is seeing the nonsense that our friendly news vultures are putting out regarding the blaze that ended Dorner....Angeles Oaks which is where the cabin that burned is located is NO WHERE near the town/of Big Bear or major population. It is about 45 minutes down a mountain road -- a few cabins - maybe two campgrounds and a...
  13. Yep...I had to use Excel to create a chart to track everything back when I was trialing...I'll send it to you...it's not complete because I just learned about the histamine issue this past Fall -- interestingly many of my one-off items were on the histamine no-no list.
  14. Unfortunately he took a couple more Big Bear police with him - asshat. Sad story from start to end, but glad it is done -- tired of them shutting down the roads to my sanctuary
  15. Sorry to hear about yogurt -- just wanted to add -- make sure you try other dairy -- yogurt can be hard on the healing digestive tract for other reasons than dairy. I can't eat it because of my issue with high histamine/histamine inducing foods -- my damaged small intestine can't make the two enzymes necessary to regulate histamine....here are a couple links...
  16. Good thing you have experience with such matters - hope you are full strength very soon - you'll need it with the overload of units this semester - take care
  17. Hey Shadow- I've been outta the loop - what's up with your stomach - your dinner sounds great.
  18. Happy Birthday to you! Enjoy your YUMMY and well desearved special meal
  19. and tomorrow I'll make two of these - without the fluffy icing -- I prefer more of a ganache (sp?) look - but will use berries along the base and "Betty Boop" salt and pepper shaker set for decor -- yep, someone very important to me looks like Betty Boop and was born the same year Betty was created...hope to bring a bit of cheer along with the cake
