celiac disease Panel Results

tTG IgA <1 value <4

IgA 67 range 81-463 (low)

tTG IgG 4 value <6

Prior to testing I was gluten light for several months to gluten-free for 3 wks to gluten light for 3wks to gluten heavy for 2 wks

Any thoughts?

Because of your low IgA, all celiac tests using IgA will be essentially invalid and useless. You don't make enough IgA to register positive IgA celiac tests.

Your tTG IgG is negative but it is in the upper half of the range. It is possible that if you had been eating more gluten prior to testing but the only way to know for sure is to extend your gluten challenge.

You might want to request the DGP IgG, or even the older AGA IgG. Those test are different enough that they might pick up antibodies.

Right now, I would say that it looks like you most likely do not have celiac but basing that on only one test makes it less than a sure thing. You could have non-celiac gluten intolerance (NCGI) in which case you will have negative blood tests and biopsy yet feel as poorly as a celiac. Going gluten-free is the solution to both.
