Hi everyone,

ive already posted on this thread however didn't really find out anything! I've been having more symptoms so I thought I'd list them here and see if anyone thinks I may be celiac or have an intolerance to some extent? My dad is also experiencing similar stomach issues so I feel this could be a family thing (or just a coincidence!)

constant stomach discomfort (this has been for almost two months on a daily basis. The pain can be mild, stabbing, severe, almost gone or bloating.)

stomach gurgling and noises, especially at night

pain in my ribs and below my ribs

occasional extreme diarrhoea

built up gas which often won't come out (TMI, I'm sorry!)

occasional sores on my mouth in corner

occasional chest pain

muscle pain behind left knee which comes and goes

im not sure if this is common, however, after my last two meals (pasta and then chicken with batter which contained a lot of gluten), after about 5/10 minutes of eating, I had to run to the nearest toilet because I just felt so full of gas and pain, etc.

Im 17 and female if this helps. Thank you so much.

Let me get out my  Magic 8 ball to see if you have celiac disease...."Does Lauren have celiac disease?"  Ball: "Reply hazy, try again".  "Is Lauren a great person?"  Ball: "Yes, Definitely!"  ?

Seriously, who knows if you have celiac disease?  (Maybe a doctor?). The only way to find out is to get tested.  Read up more at the University of Chicago's celiac website.  You do have many symptoms of celiac disease:

These are the tests:

-Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA and (tTG) IgG
-Deamidated Gliadin Peptide (DGP) IgA and (DGP) IgG
-total serum IgA and IgG (control test)
-endoscopic biopsy - make sure at least 6 samples are taken
VERY IMPORTANT:  Keep eating gluten daily until ALL testing is complete or the tests can be inaccurate.

i am not a doctor, but I have a 14 year old and if she had your symptoms, she would be tested for celiac disease and anything else the doctor suspected.    You should not have all those symptoms!  Your Dad either!
