Good Experience At Pei Wei

The employees I spoke with were so knowledgable. I called to ask about the gluten-free menu first before I talked with my DH and ordered. The girl said "We take this very seriously. When we type in gluten free, there is a special notice that comes up with instructions for the cooks in the back. All of us are trained to deal with the gluten free menu."

When I got the food it was SO good. After eating my sweet and sour chicken, I realized there was a coating on it and panicked thinking I had been given the wrong thing. I called and (calmly) asked the manager about it to make sure I had gotten the right order. He was so nice and said they coat it in a potato starch to give it the right texture and flavor.

Yay! I ate it 3 hours ago and I feel totally fine. When I get glutened I get anxiety and D right away, so I'm pretty sure I'm not poisoned!

Ooh... that's just down the street from me. :) I've thought about going a few times, but never actually followed through.
