Would You Consider This A Positive Biopsy?

"Chronic inflammation with increased number of CD3 positive T-lymphyocytes within the villious epithelium."

Pathologist writes "suspicious for early celiac." Could my results be from something else?

Thank you!

IMHO, if you have celiac symptoms, your doc suspected celiac, he tested for celiac, and your result read "suspicious for early celiac", I would consider that if I didn't already have it fullblown, I was well on my way to developing it and I would consider that a strict trial of the gluten free diet was in order to see if it helped.

Sure, your results COULD be from another kind of chronic inflammation (lots of possibilities there) but if Celiac is high on the list of possibilities based on your symptoms and history, you should definitely consider this as evidence in favor of Celiac. It doesn't rule out other causes, but it does support the Celiac diagnosis.
