Jonathon just sent me a snapshot of his test results and those IgG, IgA and IgM numbers relate to his H. pylori testing. Absolutely no celiac testing was done, just a complete metabolic panel and H. pylori, of which the IgG was one point out of range. As Lisa said, the low amylase could reflect gluten's negative impact on the pancreas (this is one of the digestive enzymes, Jonathon, which are often impacted by gluten).

Provided you are on a full gluten diet, you need to go back to your doctor and get a full celiac panel run as set forth in Lisa's post.

By the way, did you get a copy of the biopsy report?

Biopsy report?

So still having discomfort I have an E.G.D. done (this over months) well my stomach is normal &uncle everything was fine.

This report :) (or did he not take any biopsy samples and send them to pathology? If he did not he would not know if everything was fine :unsure: )

    CB, sorry to hear you're still having problems.  Deficiency of Vitamin B12 can cause diarrhea.  It's a frequently overlooked symptom.  Did you discuss with your doctor what to do about the B12 deficiency? Shots or oral supplements?  ...
    I think you should consider getting tested for celiac disease in order to help rule out gluten ataxia.  Why?  I just had anemia.  No GI issues with gluten.  I never would have guessed that I had celiac disease.
