I own this ATK cookbook, I gave it to 2 friends as gifts and I admit I have not made a single thing from it yet. but that's only because my thighs do not need any of those things right now. I also own several other cookbooks, several gluten-free ones too and I love to recipe search, adapt and create. Even though I am a decent cook and baker, we never... -
What kind of mastocytosis do you have? Cutaneous or systemic? (that's pretty rare, isn't it?) I was told that only a biopsy will render a definitive diagnosis of cutaneous mastocytosis. Perhaps this was wrong....is this not the case? Open Original Shared Link Thanks for any info you can give.

but just to be clear to those who may reading this thread.. that's because you are also diagnosed with mastocytosis and therefore, those foods cause problems for you. (I know because I have MCAS) but those foods/beverages are usually tolerated by celiacs. BarryC has told us already that he does not have celiac, but he may have a gut issue. And...

This is why I use pure maple syrup. I'm in the camp that eats/cooks with pure foods, certified G F foods or foods from companies that label their products clearly. You can figure this out, too. I promise. The links Karen and Peter posted---both excellent sources of info. "natural flavor, natural flavoring, and flavoring may be derived from gluten... -

She's using the recipe from America's Test Kitchen's "How can It be Gluten Free" cookbook, hon. Maybe we can cut and paste it from the website. I'll take a look. Okay, I'm back. They are willing to give some "freebie info" away.... but that EM recipe is not there. http://howcanitbeglutenfree.com/gluten-free-recipes/ maybe Addy will... -

J and I made english muffins more than once and I thought they just tasted like any other homemade G F bread product...like a fluffy roll. Did you think they were "English muffins" for "reals"? . Now, are these from the America's Test Kitchen G F cookbook that you are blazing through? I do. I pay $8 for them--- because my hubs really ... -
When I drink wine and champagne, I sometimes get "flushed" from it. It's not gluten. It's the sulfites and the histamine. I have an intolerance for those but if I consume just a small amount, I suffer no consequences. My doctor has told me it's all about finding your tolerance level. However, I can drink spirits like gin or vodka and not be affected...
