Help With Endoscopy Results! Newbie

I have suspected I have had celiacs for awhile , I just had an upper endoscopy and am waiting biopsies. Can someone tell me what any of this means , I have searched online but it's all to confusing. Report says- diffuse moderate inflammation in gastric Antrum characterized by erythema and edema. Diffuse atrophic mucosa found in the entire duodenum . Mildly severe esophagitis found 40cm from incisors, and a small amount of food was found in the gastric body.

If anyone can shed some light I would greatly appreciate it. I have been having symptoms since I was about 20 they have gradually gotten worse over the years and at 33 now I feel like my life revolves around my stomach and bowels. I'm so sick of being sick. I am so glad I found this forum!! Other symptoms I have besides the typical stomach ones are frequent migraines, bloody noses , joint and muscle pain, swollen lymph nodes all over my body, excessive tooth decay, chronic fatigue, depression and anxiety, infertility, chronic dehydration and thirst, dry skin , random rashes, weight loss, night sweats, dry red eyes, sinititus, elevated liver enzymes , low blood sugar , I could go on lol.

To date i have been diagnosed with a rectocele , pelvic floor dysfunction along with endometriosis and chronic migraines and have very low estrogen and the doctors don't know why. And if course the typical "IBS".

Hi!

I think you just need to be patient and wait for the biopsy report. Obviously, you have some issues based on the information you provided, but biopsy can only reveal villi damage accurately. Did you have a complete celiac blood panel? Were they looking for celiac disease? How many biopsies did they take?

Hi Scott, yes I have had symptoms for years and this is the second GI I have seen and he could not believe I have never been tested. He called later today and I am scheduled for an endoscopy. Is there a way to tell how severe my potential celiac is from the results above? What are the chances I will have the biopsy and come back negative and we have to keep searching for a cause?

I agree christina, there is definitely many contributing factors! I have the pain today, my pelvis, hips and thighs ache! No idea why. But i have been sitting at work for 3 days so im thinking its my back. This disease is very mysterious (and frustrating) but not always to blame for every pain.

"her stool study showed she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that." The wording of this part of the sentence does not make any sense at all. I don't mean to insult you, but is English your first language? This part of the sentence sounds like it was generated by translation software.

What kind of stool test was done? Can you be more specific?

Perhaps I should also have said that in addition to showing a very high response to gluten, her stool study showed that she had extreme reactions to everything achievement on it long course of microbials to treat that.
