so i always have run low temps when im feeling normel usualy around 97.7 then when i start to feel a little sick around 98.5 right now im running what i would call a fever 99.1 - to a doctor they just laugh at me but to me it makes me sweat and i get a really head high going on like nothing seems right. Any clue as to what this is?? since the doctors dont belive its a fever since 99.1 is to "low"

half of people normally run lower than 98.6 (half higher). 98.6 is just as average. most doctors forget this though, so unless you take them a number of weeks of good data, and show repeated, normal, healthy, lower than 98.6 temperatures, they don't have ample evidence to believe you are a lower than average range. at the same time, mild fevers (even 99.1 on a 97.7 average) come and go, and unless it's sustained for days, isn't a huge concern. if you have parasites, like you think you do, it may well be connected.

Natural Family Planning uses daily temperatures. I taught it for 7 years, so saw many people's temps. and would say that 97.7 is pretty normal, especially if it's an early morning temp. Your temperature will vary during the day, starting out low, then increasing as the day goes on. If you had lower than 97.4, I would question whether you had a low thryoid. Mine runs about 97.7, too, first thing in the morning, as long as I'm taking my thyroid. If I'm not taking thyroid, my temps will drop to 97.2 and I'll have extreme fatigue.

I feel pretty crummy with a 99 degree fever, but don't worry about a low grade fever like that unless it's around for a while.

I run 96.9 on a normal day, when I get up to 99.1 I feel like crap. Nobody ever believed me..... when I had my kids I started checking their temps on "normal days" so I would know what their baseline was, they both run low like me.

My husband says that 98.6 isn't a set rule but an average meaning people can run higher or lower and still be normal.

I must be screwey I run a normal temp of 95.5. But yet when i sleep the majority of the time my husband cant snuggle for more than 2-4 minutes. I feel like I am a radiator on high and when we snuggle we actually sweat. I am not sure if it the celiac, my neutropenia or just a high metabolism. :o

I would get your thyroid checked. I have thyroid issues. My normal temps run from 97.2-97.6. I feel feverish if I hit 98.3. The doctors think I am crazy to. Whatever, we know our own bodies. Thyroid disease causes low body temps and is connected with celiacs.

I also run a consistently low body temp. Thyroid has been tested repeatedly with no real issues. Some folks just normally run a bit cooler than others. Temps also differ throughout the day. This is also normal. My guess would be that your body is trying to remove toxins, drink lots of water and let yourself sweat. This isn't a high enough elevation for you to be concerned about but do let your doctor know if you go above 101. It would be best for your body to not medicate this. IMHO of course.
