About Me

I've been married to Adam for 25 years and we have six kids.

  1. I have not read this whole thread, but numbness in half the face is a classic Lyme symptom.
  2. The symptom list is the second post on the first page.
  3. I was going to mention that both garlic and onions have anti-fungal properties. If you have a problem with candida, then they can make you feel bad. Rachel's answer was more complete.
  4. Could you possibly be sensitive to soy? Maybe you're just sensitive to the hydrogenated oils and other ingredients ... if you're used to eating healthy, some of these artificial ingredients might cause some kind of a reaction.
  5. Frosties are gluten-free. Kraft clearly labels, so you can trust the ingredients list on their dressings. It varies around here what breads everyone likes. My hubby made some good grilled cheese with Kinnikinnick ... the brown sandwich bread is perfect for them. It makes good egg sandwiches, too. A very different kind of bread from Kinnikinnick...
  6. I'm one of those cooks that never measures! LOL Just brown the ground beef with onions and garlic if you're using fresh, then I sprinkle the other spices (and garlic powder if you didn't use fresh), to taste. I'm VERY generous when I use spices. The chili peppers come in a spice bottle at the grocery. Sorry I can't be more exact ... I cook everything...
  7. The ingredients look fine to me, but there are a lot of them and it might have MSG or something else that's bothering you. I usually just use cumin, garlic, onion, and pepper (either chipolte or cayenne) to season my taco meat and avoid the packets. Hope you feel better soon!
  8. You love Mr. Darcy!!!!

  9. My casein intolerance also became more apparent at 4 months off gluten.
  10. This is exactly how I felt for four months. It ended up being the half & half. I was having a different reaction to the coffee/cream than the other sources of milk. Sometimes I didn't react to the other milk products at all, sometimes I thought I had gotten glutened. But somehow the coffee/cream always had its own reaction. I, too, thought it was...
  11. Yep, I can relate. Ended up not being the coffee, but the cream. I am casein intolerant.
  12. I eat lots of eggs, cottage cheese, kifir, canned red salmon (it's Alaskan and not farmed), cheese, etc. I don't always have a "meat dish" for dinner. Last time I cooked for the family it was rice penne, cream sauce (butter, half and half, thickened with cornstarch), Johnsonville italian sausage, asparagus, summer squash, and mushrooms. Another dinner...
  13. Can't answer that ... still give me gas and a belly ache. I still eat them though ... I don't actually "see" them , maybe you should chew better!!!! Even well-chewed or refried, they give me gas, but I think that's normal!
