We are hosting my BIL's 40th birthday party here Saturday night and there is MUCH cleaning to be done HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Been in a funk, lately.......reading along, trying to find me psilly.

Y'all have been on a roll, but can only muster up a wee chuckle. So much to comment on.......

The va-jay-jay microphone thingy........been there done that. In fact, I think it's been mentioned before.

The lady who did it turned out to be an old classmate from middle school :ph34r: .........didn't want to start with the Hey.....aren't you...?

PadT- I'm coming ovah.....just ate dinner but room fer more. We had BBQ chicken and iceberg salad (no nutrients- iceberg, bacon, bacon, bacon and bleu cheese dressing- but so TASTY).

Suzzle- How's the hair? I just cut and colored my own the other day. Ran out of color 3/4 of the way through so my bottom has grays....oh well. I had to trim it cause it was giving me a headache (no lie). I have to buy 2 bottles every time I color.....yes, thick hair looks nice but has its disadvantages. Oh well.....

Who, pray tell is having the trans-va-jay-jay microphone. I obviously must write you a poem!

A little-reported fact: I do believe that Geronimo, having exactly your hair cut and style, felt equally disillusioned and exasperated by it all. .. . . . he found an ingenious solution, something that has become a part of Native American culture and symbolism. Melissa doesn't put out updates every day anymore......not as much to report.

Nathan continues to improve.....they're saying he's in remission, but he still needs to go thru lots of chemo.

The mass on the brain stem is still there....still getting smaller....still don't know what it is.

He still has some shaking in his hands. Walks around really well, but after chemo, they don't want him exerting himself.......must use the wheelchair.

Just a casual stroll down the hallway can shoot his BP up dangerously high.

Brian is coming home this Tues. He finally got a physical therapist in our network, and he said Brian needs to find a home and stay there for his

entire PT, which could last into Aug. So that's why he decided it was time to come home. He will be getting a temporary leg soon. He remains in good spirits.

Says his nick-name is 'Stumpy' :rolleyes: .......lordy

Nathan no longer needs to go to Houston every week.....blood draws and such can now be done in his town, so the timing is good for Brian to leave.

Nathan's MIL is still there and will be able to drive Nathan to appointments so Melissa can work.

Hospital bills are coming in for him and Brian........scary stuff. Ours will eventually....most likely....be taken care of in lawsuits. Nathan's........yikes.

Hopefully we will be able to help them out when our lawyer is done......could be a couple of years, though.

On the subject of hair.........

Remember my Halloween vampire temporary dye job?

Well.........DD thought......if it looked good on Mom, it would look good on her. Thing is.........we don't have the same complexion.

And her hair was lighter than mine.....that black temporary dye never washed out of her hair. :blink:

Soooooo.......now here she is...preggers and planning her wedding......and looking rather gothic. :ph34r:

She got a hairdresser to fix it with something safe for her delicate condition. ;)

'cept she has a halo-like ring of lighter hair at the crown of her head. <_< .........a veil can be a wonderful thing :P

I had to quickly grab the Skittle Skat, and mis-stepped onto some pruned stuff, and there was this extremely savage thorny rose stalk..... a big thorn went into the bottom of me foot (blood, there was) and, I lost my footing, and fell heavily into the whole rose bush :blink:

severe arm scraping and thorn-stabbing and........a gouge into me wee baby toe :huh:

there was blood :lol:

but it was oh so funny and I wish it coulda been filmed <snackle>

Devil Child's been on a weeks course at the London Fire Brigade

They run course for teens where they deck them out in the uniform, teach them how to use 'the equipment', set up a 'smoking building' and they have to go in with breathing apparatus and find the 'dummy' etc...etc

..but a tad boot campesque also ....

HE HAS PASSED!!!

I GET TO SPEND THE DAY AT THE FIRE STATION!!!!! ....what a coup!!!!! :lol:

Curly Leeeesah! So glad things are going along on a smoother road. You have had soooo much to deal with! I keep you all in prayer for health, healing and peace. Try not to worry about the money part. It'll work out.

Psuess.....you maybe oughttta seek out a professional hair person.....or apply for disaster relief! Or invest in some sort of summery head cover .....perhaps a turban? would anyone believe you've converted to another lifestyle? <:snickerface:> Sorry to laugh at you (kinda), but it IS rather comic, and TEMPORARY. I once caught me big toe on the edge of the shower enclosure, didn't think much of it but a couple weeks later it fell off!! :o Traumatized the bejeepers outa me--bandaged it up and went to work......it eventually grew back. :)

      Hi Trent, no dairy. Other than good quality butter. I have been lactose free for years. No corn, sugar, even seasonings and spices. I don't eat out. I cook my own food.

      Hello Russ! Thank you so much for your reply. I have not had an antibody test done, ever, relating to gluten. Last year I had an allergy test done via blood draw (as my insurance wouldn't cover the skin test) but this was for pollen and grasses, not food. Even on the blood test I had extremely high levels of reactions to each allergen. Could this seasonal...

This equates to a piece of bread the size of a small pea. Some people report that they are more sensitive than this, but others can very occasionally eat a normal gluten containing meal without reacting...

I am so careful, there is no way I could ingest gluten. For example, couple of months ago I tried a cough drop that says it was gluten free. I checked ingredients, it seemed fine. But just taking one of those caused me to have nausea, vomiting, and the same extreme abdominal pain. Have you ever heard of anyone else having symptoms like mine after being diagnosed celiac and strictly gluten free? The last episode I had like this was yesterday, after I ate a certified gluten-free coconut macaroon with a little chocolate on it. I have eaten coconut and chocolate before with no issue,  so I didn't see how I could all of a sudden have such a strong response.

I don't think that touching or throwing bread around would lead to you ingesting enough to cause a reaction. There are case reports of farmers with coeliac disease reacting to the dust from gluten-containing animal feed but they were inhaling large amounts of dust over a long period of time in barns. Perhaps you episodes are caused by a reaction to something other than gluten? Have you had your antibody levels checked to see whether you are still being exposed to gluten?
