Replacing Soy Flour In Recipe

Recommended Posts

I would like to make the following recipe but need to replace the soy flour. Any ideas on what I could use?

3/4 cup of melted butter,

1/4 cup of honey,

1 cup of brown sugar

1 teaspoon of vanilla.

1-1/2 cups of brown rice flour,

1-1/2 cups of Hagman's gluten-free flour mix ,

2 tablespoons of soy flour,

1 teaspoon each of xanthan gum, salt and cinnamon,

1 tablespoon of baking powder.

Thanks so much.

I don't use soy flour, either.

For a small amount like 2 tablespoons, I would just use the same amount of potato starch--or another safe flour.

I would think amaranth or sorghum would be the best soy subs. Maybe a white bean flour? It's not much though, for that small amount you could use almost anything.
