Jeepster 0 Posted March 11, 2005 Report This Post (To report rule violations to admin) Share Posted March 11, 2005 Anyone else experiencing delays from York Labs in getting back their FoodScan test results? I was charged for the test back in January and still haven't received my results. I have emailed them and was told "another week" - I hope I haven't wasted my $379 on this... bmorrow 0 Posted March 11, 2005 Report This Post (To report rule violations to admin) Share Posted March 11, 2005 I didn't have any problem with York. I requested that they email me my results and they did that, before they mailed out the package. I received my results in approximately two weeks. I would email them again. debmidge 8 Posted March 11, 2005 Report This Post (To report rule violations to admin) Share Posted March 11, 2005 I found York customer service to be very good, our test results took very long too, but we eventually received them. We did it during the end of the Summer and the Florida hurricanes held it up. York accepts emails, so if you want to contact them that way, they'll respond. I've had questions after the test and contacted them via email and they got back to me within the week. Husband has Celiac Disease and Husband misdiagnosed for 27 yrs - The misdiagnosis was: IBS or colitis Mis-diagnosed from 1977 to 2003 by various gastros including one of the largest, most prestigious medical groups in northern NJ which constantly advertises themselves as being the "best." This GI told him it was "all in his head." Serious Depressive state ensued Finally Diagnosed with celiac disease in 2003 Other food sensitivities: almost all fruits, vegetables, spices, eggs, nuts, yeast, fried foods, roughage, soy. Needs to gain back at least 25 lbs. of the 40 lbs pounds he lost - lost a great amout of body fat and muscle Developed neuropathy in 2005 Now has lymphadema 2006It is my opinion that his subsequent disorders could have been avoided had he been diagnosed sooner by any of the dozen or so doctors he saw between 1977 to 2003
kvogt 1 Posted March 12, 2005 Report This Post (To report rule violations to admin) Share Posted March 12, 2005 I too suffered a prolonged delay with some implausible excluse. The receptionist was sympathetic, but unable to actually help. I suspect the wait is on the other end (England). I think the US "branch" give a too optimistic estimate of turn around. Regarding answers to questions... I found them sloppy in their monitoring of email and "John" was hard to get ahold of after the sale.
Jeepster 0 Posted March 13, 2005 Author Report This Post (To report rule violations to admin) Share Posted March 13, 2005 Kvogt - How long was your "prolonged delay" if you don't mind me asking? I was billed for the test the first week of January - so I'm over 2 months now without any results and really needing an answer as to other possibilities as to why I'm so sick. kvogt 1 Posted March 16, 2005 Report This Post (To report rule violations to admin) Share Posted March 16, 2005 Sorry for the slow reply. My delay was like 5-6 weeks. I was expecting 3 weeks, especially since I paid for the faster delivery. They said their lab had "email problems". I was unimpressed with their reason. I suggest you call and complain - loudly. red345 0 Posted March 16, 2005 Report This Post (To report rule violations to admin) Share Posted March 16, 2005 If you put the test on your credit card, I would call up and dispute the charge with your credit card company, informing them that you are unable to secure a reliable response from the company. You'll have your test sooner rather than later this way, I assure you.
Jeepster 0 Posted March 17, 2005 Author Report This Post (To report rule violations to admin) Share Posted March 17, 2005 I spoke to John the director at the Florida office of York Labs late yesterday and he promised to have my results emailed to me today or I would get my money back. I'll keep you posted as to what happens.
Jeepster 0 Posted March 18, 2005 Author Report This Post (To report rule violations to admin) Share Posted March 18, 2005 John the director at York Labs (Hollywood, FL location) promised me I would have my results no later than 3/17 and he came through. The 2 page lab results were emailed to me, with the rest of the package being shipped first class. (I am severely reactive to 14 different food items including corn, soy, dairy, eggs, etc. plus another 4 items were shown to be moderately reactive and I should rotate them. No wonder I've been so sick.)
Melanie 0 Posted March 19, 2005 Report This Post (To report rule violations to admin) Share Posted March 19, 2005 I mailed mine 3 weeks ago and hope to hear soon (expecting to wait 4-6 weeks). Do you think I should contact them after 8 weeks. Glad you heard.
Jeepster 0 Posted March 19, 2005 Author Report This Post (To report rule violations to admin) Share Posted March 19, 2005 Melanie - I would start calling after 8 weeks, don't use the email. They blew off my emails asking about the results with no response at all.
Melanie 0 Posted March 30, 2005 Report This Post (To report rule violations to admin) Share Posted March 30, 2005 Hi, I got my test results today. I'm a little confused by them but thought I would let you know I got them. I think it took 4 to 5 weeks.
