  1. Not likely, but it is good to have it run. Is it at all possible that he ordered it by mistake? My primary ordered my annual celiac antibody panel at my direction so I'd have them ready for my celiac doc appt and she accidentally ordered AGAs instead of the DGPs I had asked for because she clicked the wrong box in the lab order system. Wasn't a big deal...
  2. Add me to another that has been walking along side you this past year! So sorry to hear of your grandparents...it is tough when those we love are in and out of care facilities. My family has been living this for the past two years caring for my Mom. I know Irish and others here that have been the caretakers of their families as they age and completely...

    ARCHIVED Been Awhile

Glad to see you back Roda! Sorry your heart is trying to impede your exercise -- but really glad to hear how exercise has helped you
  4. Yummy! I think I'll try to get more moisture out next time...still had quite a bit even after squeezing the cauliflower and blotting the crust just before it went in the oven -- but overall - wonderful treat I use a lot of grated cauliflower for "rice" and fried "rice" -- so I am going to grate a few extra heads while the food processor is out and try...
  5. Feels like Christmas today! Completely forgot about cauli-crust -- partially put off because I had removed cheese. Have not reacted to the non-aged cheeses that I've tried the past few weeks so I went and got fresh mozerella... Pizza is in the oven -- even if it doesn't taste great -- it has been a very good day -- can't wait to taste!!!
  6. I beg to differ You need to get a few of the insulated purses -- I've got more insulated bags than I ever had real purses -- one for every occasion from casual to formal -- wasn't a real bag-lady until after diagnosis
  7. lol...the goal is one tile that has "2048" total score just keeps you coming back to beat it -- it's addicting and a complete waste of time Hoping your dental visit goes quickly
  8. YOU ARE AWESOME!!!! insert flashing lights -- seriously, son is going to be green with envy and am light green meeself...did I say AWSOME???? so cool yep my bud Nicole is awesome
  9. Welcome...and wow...you have been through it. The liver biopsy based on elevated liver enzymes? Well, those of us that took a long time to diagnose understand. The best reason I can give for an endo at this point is to have a visual look at the digestive tract down to the top of the small intestine -- this information can be very helpful beyond the...
  10. Often there has not been enough time for the antibodies to reach a positive level. ...and the endoscopy can be negative - again to early levels of damage or spotty damage. That is why...the removal of gluten is so very important if tests are negative. My kids were teens with negative antibody panels when I was diagnosed -- my own antibodies were...
  11. Awesome...been meaning to try the cauli-crust for a long time. Can't wait...thanks for sharing : )
  12. and my BP that is historically low -- was skyrocketing...it is back in normal headed to low, but it took some time. All this is to say it MAY just take time, but investigation is good while you wait. It's the worry and stress that you should try to avoid...I know...not easy. Edited to add...hubby who always had my back, but was never quite certain...
  13. Yep...my funky variances with my labs is what finally got attention -- well that and I was a huge ball of inflammation that couldn't function
  14. I know!!!! I completely missed the movie I was "watching" with hubs last night. Son has made one 1024 + one 512 I'm still stuck with two 512s as highest Pure Evil
  15. I'm intolerant of everything...well not everything but my food and environmental list is quite long The best suggestion I have for you is ditch the processed gluten free items and eat only whole foods. With fructose being an issue, you will have to limit fruit and other sugars. Did you test positive on the breath test? Hang in there
  16. Hi Positive Thinking!!! I have to agree with Irish on this one -- I had sugar, pancreatic, liver, kidneys and more with fluctuating variances for the last five years prior to diagnosis PLUS at least 18 months gluten-free....all of them were within normal ranges by two years. I think you are at a year gluten-free if I remember correctly - too lazy...
  17. Sounds like you are doing well with eating mostly whole foods. Some things I can suggest would be: Digestive Enzymes before each meal. Daily Probiotics and do learn where cross-contamination is allowing small amounts of gluten into your diet. If these do not work...an elimination diet with food/symptom log is the best way to figure out other...
  18. Feel better ...glad the race is a week away and hope that you don't need that long to recover
  19. Welcome Cap! Gluten challenges are never easy, but your doctor does have the details a bit off. One slice of glutenous bread per day is sufficient during the challenge. Two weeks is needed prior to endoscopic biopsy. Twelve weeks is needed for celiac antibody tests. Hope this helps....if there are still small amounts of gluten in your...
  20. So sorry Yes, I get a very particular kind of brain fog from accidental gluten. Drink lots of water. I do hope you'll feel better tomorrow....if nothing else maybe the run will help sweat it out! Extra water, nettle tea, activated charcoal and digestive enzymes have helped us shorten the length of symptoms of accidental glutening here...but...
  21. A positive tTG-IgA should trigger doctors to run the complete antibody panel. You need to find out what was run: Total Serum IgA tTG-IgA tTG-IgG EMA-IgA DGP-IgA DGP-IgG AGA - both IgA and IgG are also tests for antibodies to Gliadin - the DGP also tests antibodies to a smaller part of the gliadin protein called a peptide. Since your doctor...
  22. Ditto Shawdow There is no reason to wash your clothing separately from your family.
  23. My son, daughter and grandson all had night terrors (screaming and trashing about during nightmares) and sleepwalking until gluten was removed from our lives. I myself was a sleepwalker as a child/young teen, but never remembered my dreams -- until I was diagnosed - still don't remember many dreams, but I have remembered several "gluten dreams" where I accidentally...
