A Few Weeks Recovering... Body Odor?

Recommended Posts

Honestly, as long as you don't sprout wings and fly off, consider it "normal"?

If gluten is your problem, and you effectively go gluten-free - weird (but generally good) things happen.

Roll with it, and roll with a new deoderant?

Things will keep changing. You may smell like roses soon.

Could be a byproduct of detoxing. Your body is shedding not only gluten, but the effects gluten had on it. Anything that is healing usually smells bad. Once it's healed, that'll be over with.

i think so, too.  when i was going through withdrawal, i also had night sweats really bad.  my washer and dryer got a workout from changing soaked sheets, nightshirts, etc.  i found that taking really long hot showers helped.

also, after a while of being gluten-free, my sense of smell returned :)  so maybe a combination of both ?

Another thing to try is to exfoliate your pits.

I had horrible underarm bo with my DH (rash was under my arms), and my derm told me that all of the swelling and scabbing was clogging stuff up. He told me to gently (remember the rash) remove scabs that were there as they were ready to come off. It did help.

So, try a gentle exfoliant? Sugar will do it - superfine is gentle.

When I did an initial elimination diet and was in the detox phase, I was at work one day and thought "oh my god, it that smell me?".  Um yea.  It was.  For a couple of days I smelled like a chemical factory.... lots of showers.  But it will pass....
