Does anyone have a list of safe brands of ginger ale? I'm afraid I'm going to forget to find out and then end up at the hospital to have my c-section and not know what I can safely drink. Are the standard brands safe like Canada Dry and Seagram's?

You've been pregnant for a week and you're already planning your hospital stay?! (I'm kidding. :D )

Last time I checked (it's been a while, though) Canada Dry, the Champagne of Ginger Ales was gluten-free.

Angie:

All are gluten free - from the 2006 Delfi List

7-up

Pepsi

V-8

Dr. Pepper

Lipton Teas

ENSURE

Sprite

Coke

Ocean Spray

Snapple

I also would ASSUME that all ginger ales are gluten free

Phew... That's good to know. I'm almost 8 weeks and last time I was pregnant the retardation kicked in around 12 weeks, so I'm trying to cover all my bases before then on the important stuff. I don't want to get glutened the day after having my baby. Last time I was so sick I didn't get to enjoy it. This time I really want to enjoy it.

Schwepps and Canada Dry are both gluten-free, but you do need to check for High Fructose(?) Corn Syrup which is sometimes used in the smaller sized bottles (especially Ocean Spray juices) which, while not a problem for celiacs unless you also need to be corn free, is a suspect in diabetes and several types of digestive cancer. . .either way, not really something you want to be putting into you and your baby.

Hi Angie :D

Reed's Natural is gluten-free--I verified that via email.

Hope you're feeling well!
