I had a blood test done today for celiac, but I haven't eaten gluten in 2 days. Is 2 days long enough to affect the results?

I'm not an expert, but from everything I've read, gluten antibodies have a long half-life in the bloodstream, so two days shouldn't make much difference. If you're going to have a biopsy (if you have positive blood results) then you'll want to be sure to continue eating gluten. Going gluten-free has a faster effect on biopsies than on bloodwork.

Also keep in mind that false negatives on blood work are not uncommon. If they do come back negative give the diet a good strict try to see if it helps anyway. As the other poster said if you are considering a biopsy, which also has a chance of a false negative, do keep up a full gluten diet until the test is done.
