"wheat-Free" Oats

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

For my breakfast, there's nothing I love more than porridge, however due to CC, I can't just go out an buy Scot's or anything.

In the gluten-free section of our grocery store, I found a box of porridge which had a label "WHEAT FREE" sprawled accross it. But, does wheat free necessarily mean gluten-free? Could they still be cc'd with barley or rye?

In the US that would be a possibility.

Here they are labeled "gluten-free oats" and are tested.

Hard to know what it means. If I were you I'd write the manufacturer.

Bob's Red Mill has gluten-free oats if that brand is available in your country.

Bob's Red Mill is available, I'll check it out. Thanks for your replies :) I'm also going to write the manufacturers to double-check.

I use them without problems.
