  1. Never buy...so what's a good taco seasoning packet? Thanks
  2. Just showed the picture to one of the men....I do believe we will be making this on Wednesday Back log of defrosted meat in the frig right now. Tonight is spaghetti with sausage Tomorrow are my birthday ribs...was never home at dinner time this weekend and was too busy today to marinate, etc....so we will have tomorrow.
  3. Yep...I had four endoscopies...one each year for four years...the first three were similar. Only the last showed minor improvement, but still marsh iii b's and c's. I do not have refractory celiac. Edited to add: my case is not the norm. While many folks have lingering symptoms, most have villi recover substantially in correlation to their improved...
  4. I agree with Nicole....I am not suggesting a place for gluten-free trend followers. Gluten has serious consequences for many without an official celiac card ... Talking about these issues within the topic of NCGS makes sense to me.
  5. We use Lundberg in our home too. I don't know how much rice you are consuming, but perhaps if you eat a smaller quantity or cut it for a time and then try it again. What I'm saying is it simply could be your body is having a hard time with rice (for now).
  6. Feel free to link a thread here whenever you like. I'll see it as I have responded within this thread. Take care!
  7. Hi D...I don't use this PM system. What ya need?
  8. Welcome Steph! If you haven't been tested for Celiac Disease, you should do so as soon as possible. Ingesting gluten is essential to give the celiac antibody tests their best chance for accuracy....no need to overdo it -- a slice of glutenous bread per day until the testing process is complete is plenty. Let us know if you have any questions
  9. Did the testing three ways from Sunday for Celiac Disease include endoscopy with multiple biopsies of the small intestine? Once the testing was complete -- have you completely removed gluten from your world for three to six months? As for the cancer question -- how the heck would we be able to answer this -- life causes all sorts of cancer. If...
  10. Okay....sap alert! Most of you know this last year was yet another puzzling and frustrating one for me. I spent yet another six or seven months in flare from hell - human amoeba form. Last Fall the histamine deal turned to possible mast cell dealio....have now been on common Mast Cell Activation protocol of meds for the past several months. I still...
  11. That's it .... Packing my bag, allergy meds, Ice packs, umbrella and running away from home to Irish's house! And if Irish won't have me I'm winging it to Croatia and let L2T cook for me. Will work for food
  12. Exactly why I think Paul's idea has merit. I don't see it as excluding folks without a celiac card -- I see it as a place where we can talk about these frustrations without giving the entire back story/status.
  13. Yes, they have very real issues with gluten but often have very separate issues from those with a diagnosis in dealing with their ambiguous status -- of course this comes from the perspective of a MamaBear that has had to defend her cubs that tested negative -- so don't "really" have an issue with gluten so others need not be careful around them.
  14. Hi FE... I understand your thoughts...my read on Paul's idea is from the perspective that there are many folks that remain in the mis or undiagnosed category. With Celiac Disease experts estimating over the 6% of population as having some level of gluten sensitivity -- the numbers of people left in the gray is likely to increase. I'd like a section...
  15. I like this idea. We have an other intolerance section -- but this is not another intolerance -- it is the subject intolerance.
  16. Oh...I understood...perhaps I should not have tagged my thoughts to yours
  17. Yes, the autoimmune cascade is not always stopped when we remove gluten. Your celiac antibody tests seem fine for now -- next annual round I would ask for: tTG-IgA and IgG DGP-IgA and IgG If you are going to have any tests in the foreseeable future I would get your vitamins and minerals tested to make sure you are absorbing nutrients. Since...
  18. Edited to remove improper quote. I know in our family -- we have two technical NGCS because they tested negative for antibodies -- antibodies are not perfect and the percentages of accuracy do not tell the whole story -- I likely would have tested negative much of my life -- because at age 43 with complete villous atrophy I only tested "weak positive" to...
  19. Hi CS! I had this -- turns out it was connective tissue inflammation within my chest walls -- well that is the consensus after I passed every heart test including that fun 24 monitor dealio. Hard as it is to hear -- stress causes inflammation -- do everything you can to reduce stress and try not to worry -- I know, I know -- many told me this and...
  20. I have a couple FunnyPage friends that made the mistake of popping off regarding the study without understanding what it actually said (I doubt they even read the article they provided links for, because it was in very simple English). I may or may not have overwhelmed them with understanding what was actually written -- oops
  21. Thank you ladies! Good day today despite the heat and tomorrow promises to be a bit cooler which is the best birthday gift for me
  22. nope haven't tried his chairs yet...the two on his website are in a fu-fu gallery in Santa Monica -- hoping some rich movie star types want to order -- maybe when he's sold enough he'll make one for his dear old auntie -- I like the tri-pod one, not the rocker, but don't tell him that
  23. So sorry to read this. If you are worse and know the PPIs are not helping -- well, I will not tell you to go against your doctors orders. However, I will say you know your body best -- not your doctor, nor your husband. Keep looking for the correct solution for your body!
  24. A new morning here in Sunny San Diego! Thankfully the winds are switching directions today which will bring the much needed cooler air - hoping for gentle wind speeds -- to help our firefighters get control of the mess this ass%$@# or ass%$@#s created. As usual with these wildfires the reports of houses being destroyed are heartbreaking -- a friend...
