Yes, in 5 months my joint pains completely disappeared. It was a gradual process to this point. I had been heading for a hip replacement. I refused to take any medication. I did not want to go the Ibuprofen route etc as all these meds come with their side effects. I was very stiff in the mornings, but the more I moved around, the better it felt. I used to...

Celiac Disease Treatment and Continuing Symptoms
Lucille Cholerton commented on Mary Anderies's article in Spring 2021 Issue
The harmful protein in oats is Avenin. Of the 4 grains, wheat, rye, oats and barley, oats has the least harmful substance of all. And oat bran has even less. Apparently this protein does not flatten the villi, but I believe it still stimulates T-cells to attack the bodily tissue in an autoimmune way, even though the sufferer may not realise it. If I eat ...- 50 comments

No, I'm actually saying that the type of protein molecule in oats, although different from the other 3 grains, is still damaging internally, even though you may not feel it as having a negative impact.- 50 comments

Celiac Disease Treatment and Continuing Symptoms

I believe that even "pure" oats are not 100% gluten free. 3 major supermarkets in UK, Tescos, Sainsburys and Waitrose, conducted a test on all their "Free from" foods that were labeled "Gluten free oats" about 7 years ago. They used a new food-testing machine. All these products showed more than 20 parts per million of gluten which is the cut-off point. The...- 50 comments

Are you still eating oats? Oats are not 100% gluten free, including so-called "gluten free" oats. I would also suggest you view some of the videpos on YouTube by Dr Peter Osborne.- 50 comments

Anxiety and depression are very much linked to celiac. When you eat any of the 4 grains wheat, rye, barley and oats, the gluten in them releases harmful peptides called gluteomorphins that cross the blood/brain barrier and upset brain chemicals. Many other problems of the mind are also linked like autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactive disorder, schizophrenia...

Have you had the following tests? AEA-IgA TtG - IgA TtG-IgG Total serum IgA These are the tests for gluten sensitivity or celiac disease. You have to be eating a normal gluten-laden diet at the time the blood sample is taken.- 50 comments
