Help With Understanding Test Results

Rate this topic

Recommended Posts

I was recently tested for gluten intolerance. While I don't think I haven Celiac Disease, I received my results online via My Chart, but I haven't gotten the chance to speak with my doctor yet. Would anyone be willing to take a look at my results and let me know their thoughts? Thank you in advance.

The first test is a control test to make sure you have enough IgA for accurate celiac disease testing, and you do.  Your AGA IgA and AGA look fine; so does your tTG IgA.  The tTG IgG is pretty close to abnormal... If you suspect celiac disease, I would recommend getting the DGP IgA and DGP IgG tests done and perhaps the biopsy. If further testing is unavailable, and you suspect celiac disease, then try the gluten-free diet for a few months and see if you have an improvement of symptoms. Don't stop eating gluten until testing is done though.

Best wishes and welcome to the forum.  :)
