Grocery Store Lay Out of Gluten Products

Hello. I have noticed that the super markets or grocery stores that I have visited have a fair amount of gluten-free products, but they tend to be scattered throughout the store and not in one area dedicated to gluten-free products. Is it not possible for the grocery stores to set aside an entire area dedicated to gluten-free products, just as they set aside a certain area for Frozen Foods,  Coffees, or Fruit and Vegetables for instance?

Great idea.   But their goal is to get customers to buy as much as possible.  They encourage them to wander around the store as a result hoping they will purchase more than was just on their list.  Impulse buying.   It is why the meat and dairy are at the back of almost every store.

Some grocery stores used to do that, keep gluten-free in one area.  But not so much anymore.  I think CL has it right, they want to encourage buying.

Thyroid cyst and nodules, Lactose / casein intolerant. Diet positive, gene test pos, symptoms confirmed by Dr-head. My current bad list is: gluten, dairy, sulfites, coffee (the devil's brew), tea, Bug's Bunnies carrots, garbanzo beans of pain, soy- no joy, terrible turnips, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, eggplant, celery, strawberries, pistachios, and hard work. Have a good day! 🙂 Paul
