Omg...i Might Be On To Something

Recommended Posts

Wow, got busy yesterday and didn't get to check back in here.

Kristina,

Great news on the new doc!!! Sounds like a keeper.

Kassandra,

Keeping you in my thoughts today for your PICC line. Have them let you recline right from the start. When I had my blood drawn with my LLMD, they took 7 vials...I told them before they started that the room goes black for me sometimes, so they let me recline.

I keep having to remind myself about the being sick part, especially NOW because I'm actually starting to feel really good, so it's easy to do too much. One of my doctors keeps telling me about how stress on the body really wears you down...every stressor you can remove helps your body to recover....so NOT doing too much is one of those things we can do for ourselves. I like Carla's thing of not expecting to get anything done, lol.

I see a PT. This is the same group of doctors that I spoke of above...one stressor they can take off the body is pain. So they've been working on my whole body basically. It started mainly with the neck, hip and wrist, but has developed to whole body, lol. It's helped to keep my pain level down to a 3-4 on the pain scale, so much better than when I first started.

I'm glad you've got the Igenix done...can't wait to hear the results!

Andrea,

Sorry about hubby being affected by the storms! Hope he doesn't have to stay there for long and can get back on the road!

If you aren't taking enough I think it can cause problems but Rachel knows more about this than I do.

Yeah, I've heard this too.

Nyxie,

LOL on the tree!!!

Good luck with Dr. Doofus! And good luck with the diet. I tried the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. I actually did feel better, but alas, I had so much going on that it had a limited benefit.

Glad your hubby is coming around!

Kassandra - Sorry about the dentist, good luck today!

Everyone - thanks for the warm wishes. This GI is very opposed to the idea of "yeast" being an issues because there is "little to no research" on the matter... (like if one didn't research cancer it would cease to exist?!) but besides that he seems competent.

I had a panic attack last night at doctor #2.

I honestly think my body is hitting its limit on being naked, poked, prodded and needled.

I want to wear many layers and sit alone in a room with tv and popcorn (in my dreams, yes, I am allowed popcorn WITH butter) where no one looks or touches me for days!!

Hello!

I am on day 2 of Humaworm. I had this localized pain in my leg this morning, then it went away. I get a little nausaus when I take it on an empty stomach but it goes away quickly.

Ever since the sauna last week my neck has not been stiff and sore! I am so excited! Definately recommend sweating of some sort if you have neck stiffness. Wonder why the toxins accumalate there?

It's hard to keep up with this thread! It gathers pages and pages everyday!

When I told the pediatrician about my daughters "new growth" down below.....he was real concerned and wanted to see her right away. He ordered a bone age scan and some bloodwork. He is one that doesn't get concerned about much, he didn't even care to look at the heavy metal labs I brought in one day.....*sigh*.

I hope to switch to a Ped who is more integrated soon.

April

Why does "western" medicine feel the need to be so f-ing invasive?!

I acknowledge that it is sometimes necessary... but most of the time it is not. It is demeaning and dehumanizing.

Ha, be thankful you didn't join in the summer of 2006! There were often 10-20 pages a day!

 I'm with Carla...I've never had to undress at the LLMD's office, and never at my HN doctors (it's a medical clinic where I see an internist, a nutritionist, a physical therapist and a chiropractor). Well, did have to put on a gown once for the internist when I was getting my prolotherapy shots in my neck, back and shoulder and she needed to get to a spot that was covered, lol, but she's a lady, so it wasn't so bad, lol.

I did have to put a gown on at my LLMD's office for an EKG .... but right before the test, and right after the test, the nurse left and let me get dressed again, so I wasn't in the robe for the whole visit.

Hopefully hubby will be back on the road soon. The weather's awful out here on the east coast too. Had a wind storm come through and have had branches and trees going down like crazy. At least hubby managed to avoid getting stuck on a double shift - he works for the local utility company.

Oh yeah! And hubby's finally starting to "get it" when it comes to gluten intolerance, cross contamination, all that. He's restricted himself to one counter in the kitchen whenever he's making a sandwich. He's also begun to be protective of me when it comes to where we eat out. Yay!

I'm glad your hubby didn't have to work double time. We had a power outage a few weeks ago and my daughter was complaining about it. I reminded her that the power company worked real hard during outages to get the power back on.

Also glad to hear that he is doing better with the gluten intolerance. That will make things much easier for you.

I want to wear many layers and sit alone in a room with tv and popcorn (in my dreams, yes, I am allowed popcorn WITH butter) where no one looks or touches me for days!!

I don't blame you.....I'm sorry.

Keep us posted. I hope you can find a doctor who's more open to the metals.

I'm glad the sauna helped with your neck pain. I don't know why toxins seem to accululate there. I don't have pain but I've had lots of itching around my lower neck and sometimes a burning type feeling.

Why does "western" medicine feel the need to be so f-ing invasive?!

I haven't seen my doctor too much but he's not invasive. He spends a lot of time talking with you.

Ha, be thankful you didn't join in the summer of 2006! There were often 10-20 pages a day!

Yah........you couldn't leave for very long back then or you'd be reading for hours. lol

Here's a little something I pulled of the WSDOT site this morning.

A 20-mile-long section of I-5 in Chehalis remains closed to all traffic due to high water over the roadway. The southbound detour begins at south of Olympia near Grand Mound (milepost 88). The northbound closure begins south of Chehalis (milepost 68). The freeway will remain closed for at least 36 hours and likely longer while crews wait for the Chehalis River to recede. Once the water receeds, crews will assess the damage to the asphalt and begin the repair and clean-up process. At one point, the water level on the roadway measured eight feet. Forty National Guard Troops have been deployed at closure points on I-5 and SR 7 to assist with traffic control. This is the first complete freeway closure due to flooding in this area since 1996.

This is worrisome to me as we know a lot of people in that area. That's where our old church is. The freeway is higher than a lot of places and if it's 8' under water in one spot then I can just imagine the rest of the area.

Ahhh...getting nervous. I don't think Valerian root is for me...it did NOTHING last night. I am trying to get dressed but there are 2 stinky plumbers here...lol! Well, gtg....bye everyone (well, for a couple hours). B)

Oh, I am laying down during the actual PICC line insertion, but the blood draw I will most likely be sitting up, so I will tell them I may pass out...lol.

What is up with this pain in my leg? Do worms live in your leg muscles? (day 2 on humaworm). It's like a stabbing pain in the inside of my thigh area then it goes away. When I press on it, its sore, but its only stabbing pain for a second. UGH! I hate wierd things....makes me crazy!

April,

I think worms can be anywhere in your body.

Hubby just called. So far the company wants him to stay put. He's got to check back with them within the next two hours so I'm hoping he can convince them to let him come home the long way. I told him that the DOT is saying the freeway will be closed at least 36 hours and they've got to assess damage and do repairs before they reopen it which will probably put that out further. I sure don't want him gone the rest of the week. :( I'll keep you all posted.

Ok, now I'm really going to wait until this neck pain goes away to start the Humaworm. I'd like to have only one weird pain at a time if I can help it.

Shoot, I didn't get on before Kass left.

Hope everything goes well :)

I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner but Bach Flower Rescue Remedy would have been good for you to take leading up to this, it's made of flower essences. Flower essences address emotional imbalances. Rescue Remedy is specific for dealing with stressful events.

LOTS OF PERSONAL SHARING WARNING

(yes, the squeemsih should avert their eyes)

The doctor's office called. Its bacterial vaginosis, not a yeast infection (so it makes sense now why nothing was really working).

The only reason I am adding this here is because I find it really odd that my whole body seems to be a circus.

I have rashes all up and down my legs, my digestion is a joke, the skin is peeling off my scalp - again, plus the downstairs nonsense.

I am beginning to wonder if some if not all of this is connected and what if it isn't celiac at all.

I have a question about Chlorella. I started taking it Friday. I started just one capsule, because I've read to start slow. I should work up to 3. Yesterday my neck started hurting sooo bad. It's really stiff and sore. My neck and shoulder muscles are normally tight. But, this is to the extreme. Could this be detoxing from the Chlorella? Would that mean the toxins are not being released, but just stirred around maybe? I'm gonna take a bath with dead sea salts, epsom salts and some essetial oils to see if it helps.

Ami...its true that too small a dose of chlorella can stir up more mercury than it can absorb...BUT its also true that many people cant tolerante chlorella at all.

You might also want to check the source of your chlorella. Most chlorella is contaminated with mercury which it absorbs natutally in the environment.

If its not tested and totally free of mercury you could be reacting to it for that reason. I'm not sure that it would release mercury into your system...but obviously you dont want to stress your immune system by taking chlorella thats loaded with mercury already.

You need to be having regular bm's to excrete the mercury.

IMO...the symptoms could be caused by

a. tainted chlorella

b. an intolerance to chlorella

c. mercury redistribution

It is possible that other things are causing problems with gluten and other foods right now. Once you get yourself healed up you can challenge it if you'd like and see.

..... Needless to say he won't be home tonight.......that would be about an 8 hour drive, maybe more. He's up there with another driver so they can stick together anyway.

Just reading along. :)

Kristina,

I am sure the others will chime in and have lots to say, but my initial thoughts are it all makes sense.

Something systemic is definitely going on with you. Your digestion issues, rashes, bacterial vaginosis all point to an overload of the beasties, toxins, deficient/hyper immunity, etc.

Even if you don't have celiac (I don't remember your celiac status) gluten causes a lot of issues and really stresses a compromised system.

Hi Rachel, how are you feeling?

Hi! There is lots of good information on Yeast connection forum about what others used to treat Bacterial Vaginosis. I can't remember what it is. I can do a search for you when I get home. At work now, so don't have time.

Hi Rachel, how are you feeling?

Hi Julie...I'm feeling like I'm really behind right now!!

Other than that...l'm fine. I felt kind of "yeasty" the past couple days...and today it seems to have improved. I think the last round of DMPS probably stirred up the yeast. Last year the Dr.'s told me once I start chelating...yeast will flare and as I treat yeast metals will be released..etc...etc.

So its gonna see-saw like that until the metal load is reduced to the point that yeast is no longer causing symptoms. Right now I'm not really trying to "attack" the yeast...just not feeding it. I'm waiting to see what Amy wants me to do when I see her. I need to be retested for all my supplements and I'm sure there will be lots of changes... its been a long time since I've seen her.

I know some of the stuff that was working for me before is probably not really doing much for me now. We'll see.

I'm getting behind in the thread because I've been distracted by other non-health related stuff. I'll get it together soon. :)

Rachel,

Thanks for the info.

I upped the dosage today and my neck is somewhat better. It's still hurting me though. Maybe I'm just tolerating it...I got the chlorella recommended by Dr. Mercola. Here's what he says about it.

'The chlorella I recommend and offer is distributed by Vibrant Health Research and produced by Yaeyama, a company with over 35 years experience in chlorella research and growth, and known worldwide for its high quality and purity.

ChlorellaThe chlorella is ecologically grown in mineral-rich mountain spring water in the pure air and sunshine, without any pesticides. Concentration and purity meet the most rigorous Japanese health standards. It contains no sugar, starch, or artificial coloring, flavoring or preservatives.'

I'm going to try with the increase dose for a bit longer. If my neck doesn't improve I may just not be able to take it.
