Hi everybody!!! It feels like forever since I've visited here. Or maybe I just dreamed you all when I had need of you the most. Dunno. Not a lot of silly in me these days...so far proving to be a really nasty year. Seems I've fallen into this truly unpsilly place and I can't get up. I've lost patience with everything (as I like to say....my camel is sipping on it's last straw), and am not liking myself very much these days. I know it'll pass, that I'll stop this pity party and being a blatbaby one of these days, soon. Sorry to be such a wet blanket here.

I'm hoping that you are all well and doing jest fine. I think I'll browse a bit through the psilliness here. Maybe I'll find mine wandering amongst yours.

Em, I am off work this Wed and Thurs and it's supposed to be 75 here, can you phly out and hang out at the beach wif me?? ;)

Hope all of ya's had a great mutha's day!!! We had a really good day. Were planning on going on a hike, but couldn't ever find the turn-off, so we ended up at this lake that's 30 min from our house that I'd never heard of. It was amazing!! Great park, Great swimming area, Great weather, Great family! I just layed out on the beach for a few hours and relaxed!!! Annnnnnnd, I got a Cricut Cake decorator machine, which I'm soooooo excited to try out! My fav's though, were an incredibly beautiful tissue paper cherry blossom tree and homemade stationary--I'm a bit of a stationary whore :P -So I will have to use this very thoughtfully, maybe special letters to the kids from special times in their lives :wub:

shouldn't they be called "un"sweat socks (or have I been reading too much Amelia Bedelia?). Seems to me you don't want sweaty boobies- or feet ;) I'm confused though

I'd take the even smaller boobs that I have to lose these last 8 freakin pounds. My goal is at least 4 more before our interlude next week ;)

Jacquie came in with me this morning for a half-shift at the store. Just four hours, but it is a start. It will probably be a week or more before she can return full time. She's still not able to drive or lift.

I was just thinking about her & wondering how she was doing. Great to hear! Is she enjoying the relaxing or getting bored? To me a pet supply store would be a great place to work.

      Very good pizzeria with small dining room in back of the restaurant. The owner's daughter has celiac & they have gluten free pizza & a gluten free menu. Some items from the regular menu can be made gluten free also. They have a lunch menu which we ordered from & my chicken with spinach & mozzarella over gluten-free penne was delicious...

      @Aretaeus Cappadocia and @Russ H thank you both for your helpful advice and information. I haven't seen a GI in years. They never helped me aside from my inital diagnosis. All other help has come from my own research, which is why I came here. I will be even more careful in the future.

The bird-bread may or may not be contributing to what you are experiencing, but it seems unlikely to be the whole story. If you have access to decent healthcare, I would write down...

Your math is solid, although I find estimates of gluten in white bread at 10-12% rather than the 8% you use. Somewhat contradicting what I wrote before, I agree with you that it would be difficult to ingest ...

The bird-bread may or may not be contributing to what you are experiencing, but it seems unlikely to be the whole story. If you have access to decent healthcare, I would write down your experiences and questions in outline form and bring this to your Dr. I suggest writing it down so you don't get distracted from telling the Dr everything you want to say while you have their attention.

Somewhat contradicting what I wrote before, I agree with you that it would be difficult to ingest 10 mg from flinging bread.  However, I would still suggest that @nancydrewandtheceliacclue take precautions against exposure in this activity. I'm not an expert, I could easily be wrong, but if someone is experiencing symptoms and has a known exposure route, it's possible that they are susceptible to less than 10 mg / day, or it is possible that there is/are other undetected sources of exposure that together with this one are causing problems. At any rate, I would want to eliminate any exposure until symptoms are under control before I started testing the safety of potentially risky activities.       @Aretaeus Cappadocia thank you for your reply and the link, that is very helpful to get a visual of just how small of an amount can cause a reaction. I know I am not consuming gluten or coming into contact with gluten from any other source. I will stop touching/tossing bread outside! My diet has not changed, and I do not have reactions to the things I am currently eating, which are few in number. My auto immune reaction just seems so severe. The abdominal pain is extreme. It takes a lot out of me. I guess I will be this way for the rest of my life if I ever happen to come into contact with gluten? I appreciate the help.
