Another week of Sanjya. When is America going to get it RIGHT?

The way I see it, there is no WAY he can win. Just because he is not in the bottom 3 does not mean he is not bottom 4 or 5....we just never know. It's tot bad us Canuks have to wait until Canadian Idol to vote....maybe we couls help get it right and get rid of Sanjaya.

I read about Gina's tongue piercing in this month's People magazine. It is the current issue with the contestants on the cover. I have no problem with the piercing. It certainly did not hurt Gina's ability to sing with it. I respect her for not allowing the show to change who she really is. Good for you Gina!!

de caps- you are right it did not effect her singing on bit. I really liked how she could do the Pat Benatar and the other Girl Rocker songs.

I just disagree, Hawkfire. I liked Sanjaya at auditions and at the very beginning. Yes, I'm sure that AI does their fair share of manipulating some of it. But Vote For the Worst and everyone who is voting for Sanjaya not because they like his singing is RUINING the competition. I'm glad that it's so funny for you!

Cheri, I agree with you. Sanjaya was very good before they got up on stage and needed to show confidence. He just can't get his voice to go above inaudible. I can barely hear what he's singing half the time. It wasn't until America started voting that he starting sucking so bad. It's a shame because I do think that he's probably a very talented little boy. American Idol is supposed to be about having the best overall package. Sanjaya certainly doesn't offer that. Votefortheworst.com has really hurt the show's credibility.

I am sorry I just find it very childish to find something funny about keeping the worst people in a talent competition. Honestly come on now, if I found out I was staying in a competition because people were voting for me just because I was not doing well....I would probably just drop out and feel like a fool.

This is supposed to be the search for the next big singer. It is turning into vote for the someone who doesn't deserve it. Blake, Melinda, Lakisha, and Gina should be going the distance. I think we will be disappointed in the next American Idol.

I believe, even funnier, is that you are annoyed with me for having an opinion opposite of yours. This is a democracy, after all. I am within my rights to find this amusing, votes determine who stays and who goes... The judges who manipulated the contest by pitting talent against a green, semi-talented teenager- well, they're the fools who caused you all this grief. NOT the folks who push back by voting... for the worst.

If you had a fair competition, Sanjaya never would have been put through- by the JUDGES.

You may have liked Sanjaya at the beginning, but three talent seeking judges KNEW he was not as capable as Melinda or Lakisha or Chris Sligh or Blake... This was a deliberate choice to put this semi talented child in with sharks. You can tell me you "liked Sanjaya" but you're not paid to make it a competition by putting talent that is able to compete. The Vote for the Worst crowd hasn't ruined the show for you; the manipulative judges and producers caused this fiasco. And it's funny. :lol:

What's childish is being so emotionally invested in a reality tv show that you have negative emotions over an outcome you don't desire.

I wasn't too impressed with Fantasia or Rubin. William Hung has a much name recognition as either of them! If Sanjaya wins, I expect our lives will move along as they did after Chris Daughtry was voted off. Really, it's a tv show. For entertainment.. your life will not be impacted by the winners or losers. At least I'm laughing twice a week as a result of this. If you're that upset, please turn off the tv and read Calvin and Hobbes or something that makes you laugh. No sense making yourself sick each tuesday and wednesday night.

Jennifer Lopez will be the guest. I couldn't find the type of music, but I imagine it will be pop or whatever J Lo's music is considered to be.

It's going to be Latin type music. I read it somewhere. People were speculating on how well Melinda and Lakisha would do with something so far from their "normal" type of music.

Paula, you HAVE to record it! Watching Sanjaya try to do Ricky Martin will be more than funny. What a joke! He has about as much sex appeal as a turtle.

I expect that LaKisha might really shine this week. She has been picking really boring songs lately. Hopefully Latin songs will spice her act up a bit. I just hope that Blake can pick back up where he left off a few weeks ago and make a strong comeback.

Ok I will record it. I think it will be funny to watch this tommorow. I think turtles are little more sexier lol.

I am trying to sit here and think who i think it will do the best. I think phil and chris will have trouble. I think jordin will do great. I hope lakisha does great.

I am going to watch Ellen today, cause Gina will be on, i cant wait to see what she says about being voted off before sanjaya.

There was an guest on today and they were talking about melinda, and they said they are even tired of melinda acting all surprise. That the act is getting old and she needs to stop. And that she even kinda stands when they are saying who is getting voted off, like thinking(or acting) like it might be her. I am glad others see her act to lol

She didnt say much, just that she was in complete shock that she got voted off. ANd ellen told her that she bets someone will sign her a record deal and she will be famous. Then she sang Alone and the show ended.

I really hope someone picks her up.

I hope someone does sign her! She was awesome! She sang songs which blew you away.

Melinda's act has been old...she has got to know she is good.

Lakisha better step it up, she has been getting boring.

      Okay went online to check green mountain k cups .It was said that the regular coffees are fine but they couldn’t guarantee cross contamination.with the flavors. im trying to figure out since I eliminated the suyrup so far so good. I’m hoping. thanks it feels good to listen to other people there views.

      Welcome to the forum, @McKinleyWY, For a genetic test, you don't have to eat gluten, but this will only show if you have the genes necessary for the development of Celiac disease.  It will not show if you have active Celiac disease.   Eating gluten stimulates the production of antibodies against gluten which mistakenly attack our own bodies.  The antibodies are produced in the small intestines.  Three grams of gluten are enough to make you feel sick and ramp up anti-gluten antibody production and inflammation for two years afterwards.  However, TEN grams of gluten or more per day for two weeks is required to stimulate anti-gluten antibodies' production enough so that the anti-gluten antibodies move out of the intestines and into the bloodstream where they can be measured in blood tests.  This level of anti-gluten antibodies also causes measurable damage to the lining of the intestines as seen on biopsy samples taken during an endoscopy (the "gold standard" of Celiac diagnosis).   Since you have been experimenting with whole wheat bread in the past year or so, possibly getting cross contaminated in a mixed household, and your immune system is still so sensitized to gluten consumption, you may want to go ahead with the gluten challenge.   It can take two years absolutely gluten free for the immune system to quit reacting to gluten exposure.   Avoiding gluten most if the time, but then experimenting with whole wheat bread is a great way to keep your body in a state of inflammation and illness.  A diagnosis would help you stop playing Russian roulette with your and your children's health.

This applies to both phases of testing, the blood antibody tests and the endoscopy with biopsy.  There is the option of genetic testing to see if you have one or both of the two genes known to provide the potential to develop celiac disease. It is not really a diagnostic measure, however, as 30-40% of the general population has one or both of these genes whereas only about 1% of the general population actually develops celiac disease. But genetic testing is valuable as a rule out measure. If you don't have either of the genes, it is highly unlikely that you can have celiac disease. Having said all that, even if you don't have celiac disease you can have NCGS (Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity) which shares many of the same symptoms as celiac disease but does not involve and autoimmune reaction that damages the lining of the small bowel as does celiac disease. Both conditions call for the complete elimination of gluten from the diet. I hope this brings some clarity to your questions.

      Hello all, I was diagnosed at the age of 2 as being allergic to yeast.  All my life I have avoided bread and most products containing enriched flour as they  contain yeast (when making the man made vitamins to add back in to the flour).  Within the last year or so, we discovered that even whole wheat products bother me but strangely enough I can eat gluten free bread with yeast and have no reactions.  Obviously, we have come to believe the issue is gluten not yeast.  Times continues to reinforce this as we are transitioning to a gluten free home and family.  I become quite ill when I consume even the smallest amount of gluten. How will my not having consumed breads/yeast/gluten for the better part of decades impact a biopsy or blood work?  I would love to know if it is a gluten intolerance or a genetic issue for family members but unsure of the results given my history of limited gluten intake.   I appreciate the input from those who have gone before me in experience and knowledge. Thank you all!

When you are forced to eat out at a new restaurant that you are not sure is safe, try to order things that you can be sure will not get cross contaminated like a boiled egg, baked potatos, steamed vegies, fresh fruit. Yes, I know that doesn't sound as appetizing as pizza or a burger and fries but your health is at stake. I also realize that as a 14 year old you don't have a lot of control over where you eat out because you are tagging along with others or adults are paying for it. Do you have support from your parents concerning your need to eat gluten free? Do you believe they have a good understanding of the many places gluten can show up in the food supply?
