someone with Celiac's getting constipation. (I'm extremely constipated and laxatives don't even help.)

What do you guys think?

Oh well! So much for that doctor! B)

He apparently doesn't know much about it. Constipation was my main issue & ky bloodwork & biopsy were positive

ive gone thru all the different symptoms... but Constipation seemed to be the most common. big time!!! horrific

2008- AntiGliadin IGA/IGg~ Negative,TTG IGA/IGg~ Weak Positive, Endomysial Antibody~ Positive, IGA Deficient.

no biopsy (insurance denied)

6/2010- Enterolab Gene Test:

HLA-DQB1 Allele 1 0302

HLA-DQB1 Allele 2 0302

HLADQ 3,3 (subtype 8,8)

7/2010- 100% Gluten Free

8/2010- DH

10/2010-Hypothyroid dx-> 12/2010 Hashimoto's dx + 1/11- Graves dx :(

Amazing, isn't it? Like I've posted before... sometimes, I don't know what we're paying these guys for. Otherwise, I liked him and would like to develop a relationship with him. I wonder if it's appropriate to ask my doctor to study up on a particular disease? Thing is they always act like they're the definitive authority on everything.

He's not going to find much on celiac and constipation in the medical literature even if he does study up. There are sooooo many symptoms folks on this board have experienced that are not documented.

also... i thought it was cool, that my GI this week told me that there's a wealth of information for me in the online community- and i told him "i know- ive learned a lot"
