So glad yall that were having high freaky winds survived the night. There be tor-nay-dahs out there too!! My worst fear ever!

Psillies- So much to tell!!!!! Had a very MYS-teerious day!

Opened me trunk (hatchback Subaru so not really a trunk) to find a brand new short sleeve soccer shirt for ENGLAND! Nikki- were you here? I've no idea where it came from! But I like it and I'm keeping it.

Then I went out for a drive and decided to go drive down the (one block) main street of this little hamlet here called Magnolia. Found this store open called Silent Seed. The young man running it was deaf and mute but we had a great conversation (mostly on a notepad). I left with a very in-need-of-TLC but rare plant Desert Rose

It needs a LOT of TLC but I was so intrigued by this young man and the rare but in need of TLC plants that I had to buy it. It's already SIX years old!

 at your mysterious day Bevel!!! An English football appearing out of nowhere (what does it all mean??.........the little people??) and an encounter with a deaf mute that gave you a very rare plant. I just know it all means something!!!

I couldn't even tell you if he had hands

tried to search the uw site for pics of residents, but no luck

Yes, let's cyber stalk the Hubba Bubba!! We need more info :lol:

I kid!

This all sounds much like the smoldering baby blues of Mike Fisher, doesn't it, Jooooles?

Why yes, it sure does Em..........dreamy sigh........

Mornin', Penis People! :lol::lol:

Gah!!!!! Stimulating conversation last night for sure, you guys were cracking me up!

Maybe we need to do a survey all of the males here......and ...what do you call yours? :P

 Theresa

Um Lisa, just a thought, but I don't know if it should be a cute or fun name, or have "little" attached to it.

First store only had Hanna Montana and High School Musical stuff. I didn't think the 2 & 3 year olds would go for it. Second store I found some puppies and kittehs - much better.

Ended up taking the kids out for Ice Cream at Maggie Moo's . . . Skeeter had a rough day at the orthodontist and he gave her a gift cert that expired in 2 months so we had to use it the same day  :wackl:  She's still sore this morning and only wanted soft foods in her lunch.

 no the wee ones might not appreciate the Hanna Montanna and HSM stuff like the older ones do, glad you found the puppies and kittehs they sound cute!

Poor Skeeter, that orthodontist business is not fun. But ice cream makes everything better!!

uh...Em...?

Green12 Enthusiast
All right, I twisted me ankle yesterday. It was already compromised from running, but this really did it in... . .. . . ice and heat. .. ....I will head onto the elliptical trainer for the next couple of workouts. NEED GREAT NEW MUSIC for me mp3!! With a fast, pounding dance beat. Anyone got suggestions?

This, unfortunately, is just too slow:

Horn O Plenty  Sorry about your ankle Em :( Hope it heals quickly so you can get back to your runs.

My favorite topic!!!! These are a few on me mp3 player that pump me up and keep me going (promise not to laugh at some of them!!):

Michael Jackson- Wanna Be Startin Something

Stevie Nicks- Edge Of Seventeen

Destiny's Child- Bootylicious

Beyonce- Crazy In Love

Gwen Stefani- What You Waiting For?

Justin Timberlake- Love Stoned/I Think She Knows

Madonna- Ray of Light

N.E.R.D. - Rock Star (it has to be the "Jason Nevins Mix")

The Killers- All These Things That I've Done

And of course you can always go with Janet's favorite song (and anthem) I Kissed A Girl :lol:

I'll post more as I think of them :)

Wackl! And hee-sterical!!! Dave's reactions/comments were great!!

I LURVE Joaquin Phoenix, he was sooooo good as Johnny Cash.

Ok, I have heard this is a total set-up. I don't know if it is true or not, but there are rumors that he is making some kind of documentary/movie and the crazy personality and appearance is all a part of it, and he is being filmed apparently whilst doing all these crazy things.

Good eye Nik on the hare lip repair scar, I didn't even think of that.

Missed the Farrah interview, but yes I can imagine how that went.......she seems to have been off her rocker for some time. Anna Nicole Smith was another one that was hard for me to watch in interviews.

Aw Nik, do you have a case of the dull drums?? :( Cheery hugs to you

Library paste and paper mache.  I have in passing read of wheat based glue used to glue fish tank filters together so it is not surprising they might be in refridgerator filters. Seems the issue with bottled water would be at the personal filters rather than the mass filtering.  Just have to boycott the brands that effect you.  Gatorade drinks all have either gums, modified starches or stevia that might be affecting you.  Looking for energy or hydration try Red Bull.  It has the vitamins, minerals, antioxidant Taurine, sugar and glucose to process the sugar from mouth to ATP and clean up. Taurine is essential for protecting mitochondria from damage, such as from reactive oxygen species (ROS) or calcium overload. If you are exclusively drinking bottled water you may want to consider taking Lithium Orotate 5 mg.  We need about 1 mg a day of Lithium and mostly it is gotten from ground water.  Lithium deficiency can cause anxiety and suicide.  I find it helpful. From Biological Activity and Epidemiological Observation to Food Fortification

What non organic or nonorganic molecules from a plastic bottle of water can trigger a reaction that I have only experienced during an auto immune experience? There really should not be any organic molecules in  such a bottle. I seen a thread where it was mentioned that his refrigerator water filter tested positive for gluten when he had it checked. If I went to physician to get checked for other possible triggers from a water bottle, I don’t think that will go anywhere. Again, distilled water containers cause no reactions. I’m not an industry expert, but something is there.  I don’t think that this is a case of microplastics causing this. Too bad we can’t call upon some third party investigation.
    • Scott Adams
It’s understandable to want to be cautious, especially after experiencing symptoms. However, there is currently no scientific evidence that reverse osmosis or standard activated carbon water filters expose people to gluten in amounts that would trigger celiac disease. Gluten is a protein, and if any starch-based binder were used in filter manufacturing, it would not pass through RO membranes or remain in finished bottled water at clinically meaningful levels. Plain water — filtered, RO, or bottled — does not contain gluten unless it is intentionally added (which would require labeling). Steam-distilled water is certainly safe, but it is not considered medically necessary for people with celiac disease. If reactions are occurring, it may be helpful to explore other potential explanations with a healthcare provider rather than assuming filter-related gluten exposure.
    • Scott Adams
It’s understandable to look for bigger explanations when you’re dealing with complex symptoms, but the current scientific consensus does not support the idea that celiac disease evolved as a defense against Candida. Celiac disease is a well-characterized autoimmune condition triggered specifically by gluten in genetically susceptible individuals (HLA-DQ2 or HLA-DQ8). While some laboratory studies have shown that certain Candida proteins (like Hwp1) share limited sequence similarities with gluten or tissue transglutaminase (tTG), that does not mean Candida causes celiac disease or commonly produces false-positive tTG tests in clinical practice. Anti-tTG IgA remains a highly specific and validated marker for celiac when used appropriately (especially alongside total IgA testing and, when indicated, biopsy). IgG antibodies to Saccharomyces cerevisiae (ASCA) are more commonly associated with Crohn’s disease and are not considered diagnostic for celiac. There is ongoing research into microbiome interactions and immune cross-reactivity, but at this time there is no evidence that yeast exposure from foods triggers celiac autoimmunity in people without gluten exposure. If symptoms persist despite a strict gluten-free diet, it’s best to work with a gastroenterologist to rule out other conditions such as IBD, SIBO, non-celiac food intolerances, or refractory celiac disease rather than assuming a fungal-driven mechanism.
    • Scott Adams
It sounds like you’ve put a lot of effort into tracking patterns, and that kind of awareness can be helpful. With celiac disease specifically, though, the only confirmed immune trigger is gluten. Reactions to dairy are common after diagnosis because intestinal damage can temporarily reduce lactase, leading to lactose intolerance — but that’s different from casein sensitivity. IgG food panels, including yeast, are generally considered markers of exposure rather than proof of clinical intolerance. Aged cheeses like Irish cheddar are typically gluten-free, though they do contain casein and natural cultures. If symptoms are strong and repeatable, it may be worth working with a gastroenterologist or allergist to sort out true allergies, intolerances, or other GI conditions rather than assuming multiple cross-reactive immune triggers.
