Does it have a moisture sensor? Maybe it knew the clothes were already dry.

It does have a moisture sensor, but I had it on timed dry for 20 minutes (default) and the door can't open by itself and the dryer won't run if the door is open (I tried ;) my house was built in 1914.... :unsure:

Hey, gang! Getting back into things. . . ..... :) . . ...bit by bit......

Has been mighty quiet 'round here.......Been chortling away at the profanity-ridden civckebs and the mysterious open clothes dryer.. ... :unsure: . . ..

Ra-shyelle, you absolutely have the Twa in your household, I can just feel it. They are tricksters, and would gravitate to your dryer as it lets out such relentless hot air, and these little Burundian people feed off high, sub-Saharan-type heat.

Keep your eye open for a little figure running across the floor, peeking out from a doorway or hiding up on a shelf looking like this:

Nik, I've got something to tell you.. ...... . ...that pic is indeed of yer Twa man -- it is him. That is not a generic shot from google images of a Twa in his native Burundi, molding balls of oxen dung into useable dishware, pots, etc.

I took this shot of him outside my back window. He appeared here about a week ago, and has been in my yard ever since. That is Elsie and Gus's dung that he collects and makes into decorative balls -- um, I will NOT be using any of the mixing bowls that he has made me.

Anyways, he has NOT been helpful a 'tall. No gathering up of trash, no raking....don't even know why he came here. He should just get the hell back across the pond, because he won't know what hit him when January rolls around and I hand him my big snow shovel. . . .......

I need some help frpm my psillies to tell me if I'm crazy or just psillie....to give you a little layout of my house-3 levels, bedrooms are on the top floor, main living stuff on the main floor, gym, theater and laundry in the basement-so I finished with Sven at 9, went in to start the dryer to fluff up the clothes that I forgot about, set it, watched it turn on and went into the connecting bathroom to wash up. 5 minutes later, I go back into the laundry room, the dryer is off, the door is open but the clothes are hot, so clearly the dryer was on. Everybody else in my house was asleep!!!!! WTF happened?

I did, and it wuz awesome. Obscure bit of trivia I noticed: the forward images were of April 29, 2010. That will be Rob's 50th birthday. I somehow doubt that it is a coincidence. :rolleyes:

Rob's cameo is about 20 minutes in. While the surgeon is in the hospital corridor talking on her cell phone to her FBI agent husband, Rob passes through the background left to right, also talking on a cell phone. It is easy to miss.

There are 17 minutes before the first commercial break (as seen here in the east). The cameo is after that by a couple of minutes.

Thank you!! :lol: I TiVo'd it, so after Grey's Anatomy we can go back and catch him. I knew it was in the hospital hallway, but I still missed it.

      @yellowstone, You poor thing! I'm not a medical doctor, but it sounds like "Refeeding Syndrome". I suggest you seek medical attention. Refeeding Syndrome occurs when your body doesn't have enough of the necessary vitamins, especially Thiamine, to turn sugars (from the fruit, juice, and honey) to turn provide energy. This can occur...

      Your post doesn't mention if you are seeing Doctors about this and what they had to say, or if you are just trying to manage it by yourself. If you aren't getting medical support, that is the first place to go. On the other hand, if you've been on a diagnostic odyssey with Dr after Dr being perplexed, consider getting your genome sequenced (search for "whole genome sequencing"). It's not guaranteed to get you an answer, but if your symptoms are caused by a genetic condition you might get the answer that is stumping standard differential diagnosis. These days there are quite a few companies offering this service. I wish I could tell you which one was best but I've been out of that field for a decade. Talk to your Dr about this and see what they think. Price is probably ~$500-$1,500 including the sequencing and detailed reports. Sounds like a lot, I know, but consider that 25 years ago just the sequencing (no reports) cost $2.7 B and took 3 years to complete.

      @yellowstone, You poor thing!  I'm not a medical doctor, but it sounds like "Refeeding Syndrome".   I suggest you seek medical attention.   Refeeding Syndrome occurs when your body doesn't have enough of the necessary vitamins, especially Thiamine, to turn sugars (from the fruit, juice, and honey) to turn provide energy.   This can occur in Malabsorption due to Celiac Disease.  Malabsorption prevents the absorption of B vitamins, especially Thiamine. The B vitamins and Thiamine cannot be stored long in the body.  When you run out of Thiamine, your body burns fat for energy which produces the Ketones, hence your weight loss. With medical attention, Thiamine and other B vitamins need to be replaced before giving any more sugars.  Doctors can give you an IV containing B vitamins including Thiamine, called a "banana bag".  Riboflavin  Vitamin B2 causes the yellow color.   Doctors can also monitor your electrolytes which can become unbalanced and cause further serious health issues.       I ate sprouted buckwheat and hard boiled egg last night instead of cereal and got extra 1/2 hour sleep but more importantly feel better this morning. I do sleep in cycles that seems to rotate btwn 3 and 6 hrs but I will monitor next time I make a pot. Bwheat is a complete protein with good amounts of thiamin, magnesium, fiber and iron. High carb but much lower glycemic and much healthier than refined flour cereal.
