I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what the Total Serum IgA is. I had my blood test and that was the only one that was high.

Thanks

I don't know what the total serum IgA is...could this be another name for Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA?

Not sure it was also called Immunoglobulin A, Serum. Its one in the test that has a range of 68-378 for adults. I just don't know if its also an anti body or what it is.

My doctor told me that elevated IGA means there is an autoimmune issue going on in your body, but is not, in itself a positive Celiac result. However, in our family's case, those were the only abnormal results and we all have Celiac. Hope that helps!
